Just to fuel speculation about Dark Knight and Sandy Hook, I'll throw a screen shot in of a scene from the Dark Knight movie.. A map which says 'Sandy Hook'. Not THAT'S weird:

The prop guy for that movie is from Newtown. He was killed. His wife thinks he was murdered due to her entanglement with authorities.

In one instance, they spent $42,000 to deny her a bus stop for her children.

That stood out at me, too, when I watched the movie a couple of weeks ago. It was weird. I wouldn't have even noticed. That being said, there are many "Sandy Hooks" in the United States:
Sandy Hook, Connecticut, a village in the town of Newtown, Connecticut
Sandy Hook, Kentucky, a city in Elliott County
Sandy Hook, Maryland, an unincorporated community in Washington County
Sandy Hook, Mississippi
Sandy Hook, Virginia, an unincorporated community in Goochland County
Sandy Hook, Wisconsin, a Census Designated Place in Grant County.
Sandy Hook, Missouri, on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Missouri, Counties L–N
