“...also dismisses any link between Hollywood shootouts and real-life gun violence.”
...Bravo! Jimmy Cagney had “shootouts” all the time in the 30’s and there weren’t any mass shootings in theatres that I know of. Prescription drugs and bad parenting are most of the problem.
My parents had some control over what I watched when I was a kid.
Today we have subjective reality being taught in the schools, parents who barely know their children, and as you said the drugs.
Similar to the controversy over some heavy metal music in the 80’s that allegedly triggered suicides among some adolescents. (eg, Suicide Solution) Dennis Miller put this in perspective when he said if some kid kills himself after listening to a song, it’s a safe bet he’s had serious psych and emotional problems long before he’s ever heard of Ozzie Osborne. But it still is hypocritical to see Mr. Willis’ colleagues calling for gun bans and then brandish guns, even if they’re fake, in their movies.
BAD PARENTING, what kind of parent lets her boy dress liek a girl, what kind of parent lets their kids do what ever they want, etc etc etc
Seriously I have seen it every day and heard it off my kids friends how their parents are never there and let them do what ever they want.
I need to get a bumper sticker saying how be mature and responsible , pay and be there for your kids, or if anyone has a better idea along those lines
