Full title: Presidential Memorandum -- Presidential Determination with respect to the Child Soldiers Prevention Act of 2008

Back in September, our president, presidential decree, removed the presidential directive not to allow child soldiers. It is now OK for children to fight as warriors in Libya, South Sudan, Yemen, and the Congo.

This man is an animal.

Child soldiers are the main reason I don’t want Americans involved in Sub Saharan Africa. There is nothing that will psychologically destroy a soldier faster than being forced to fire on children. This will open them up to that likelihood while exposing them to prosecution for war crimes.

This is a freakin horror show.

our president . . . removed the presidential directive not to allow child soldiers

He didn't remove the prohibition against the deployment of child soldiers by "governmental armed forces or government-supported armed groups, including paramilitaries, militias, or civil defense forces" per se, but he is allowing the United States to provide equipment and training to those forces.

Besides condoning the use of child soldiers, I cannot see how providing military equipment, training, and funding to hostiles in Libya and Yemen, et al., is in the national interests of the United States.

Kerry's first play as Secretary of State.

Time to make some big money he can call his own.
