WASHINGTON, D.C., February 4, 2013 (LifeSiteNews) – President Barack Obama on Sunday said the Boy Scouts of America should overturn its national ban on homosexual members and leaders, just days before the organization is scheduled to vote on the issue.
In a pre-Super Bowl interview with CBS, anchor Scott Pelley asked the president if he believed the Scouts should allow openly gay members and leaders.
"Yes," Obama said.
Pressed to elaborate, Obama said homosexuals should be able to fully participate in “every institution” that others can.
“I think that my attitude is that gays and lesbians should have access and opportunity the same way everybody else does, in every institution and walk of life,” the president said.
Since coming into office, Obama has become increasingly favorable toward the homosexualist cause. Last year, he announced his support for same-sex “marriage,” and used his second inaugural address to highlight the issue. He has also ordered his administration to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman. He also pushed for an end to the “don't ask, don't tell” policy that barred open homosexuals from serving in the military.
Although the BSA national executive board reaffirmed the national ban on homosexuality just six months ago, calling it “absolutely the best policy,” pressure from gay activists led them to announce last week that they will consider dropping the ban at their national meeting. The group is expected to vote on the issue Wednesday.
If the Scouts do end the national ban, policy on whether to admit open homosexuals will be left to local councils to decide.
In the late 1980s, she wrote, “Being queer means pushing the parameters of sex, sexuality, and family, and in the process, transforming the very fabric of society.” “We must keep our eyes on the goals of providing true alternatives to marriage and of radically reordering society’s view of reality,” she wrote. In addition other leaders of the movement have made the following remarks on the issue; Nan Hunter, a professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, wrote in the National Journal of Sexual Orientation Law that the purpose of legalizing “gay marriage” was to “destabilize marriage’s gendered definition, thus disrupting the link between gender and marriage, thereby subverting its power differential.”
Now, when you look back at when "marriage" was officially recognized as the union between a man and woman, we find that religion recognized "holy matrimony" as a sacrament (a sacred act which serves as a witness to our Love of God), and this recognition was well received because it ended previous attitudes about women being viewed as the property of men, and actually recognized the woman's role as a respected person of society, who without society would suffer. Therefore, when we discuss the "definition of marriage", one can easily see that it is rooted in religious beliefs, and that the state (government) recognizes it, but is not in the position to redefine it. Doing so, begins to infringe upon Religious Liberty issues. It is for this reason, that most Americans are against Same-Sex Marriage.
Michelangelo Signorile wrote in OUT magazine in 1994, “A middle ground might be to fight for same-sex marriage and its benefits and then, once granted, redefine the institution of marriage completely, to demand the right to marry, not as a way of adhering to society’s moral codes, but rather to debunk a myth and radically alter an archaic institution.”
He also mentions the following: “It is also a chance to wholly transform the definition of family in American culture.”
Homosexuals are open about their sexual desires and behaviors and that all by itself is reason enough to exclude them from positions of influence on youngsters. It is bad enough that we are compelled to talk to children about perverted sex, often before they have proper grounding in an understanding of sex as it relates to marriage and family.
Yeah, cuz putting adult male homosexuals in charge of young boys worked out so well for the Roman Catholic Church and Penn State.
Meanwhile his kids have armed protection 24-7 from any type of sexual predator, our kids/grandkids are supposed to welcome perverts and pedophiles with open arms. Un-effing-believable.

Sometimes this idiot forgets that he is the Executive Branch of government, a 24/7 job, so when he proposes violating my right to assemble, that's actionable under the Fifth Amendment (or should be ~ the Torts Claims Act should have a section in it about collecting damages from obnoxious politicians).

At this point, anyone pushing for the Boy Scouts to welcome homosexuals either wants to destroy the Scouts or is an advocate of child molestation, or both.
Seriously now ~ i met his mother ~ she was quite plain ~ and didn’t strike me as a hard partying gal. The loose morals charge arises out of the fevered imaginations of people who have a bone to pick with her worthless son.
