The Washington Post reports that the White House has released a photo of President Obama firing a weapon in what it claims is an exercise in skeet shooting that took place at Camp David sometime in August.
Some of the president's supporters are making fun of people who have cast doubt that Obama likes to blast away at clay pigeons, an exercise that hitherto has never been revealed. One should not, according to these supporters, be suspicious of photos that show the president using fire arms in the middle of a debate about gun control.
But the president and his supporters seem to be missing the point. The picture of Obama firing apparently level with the ground at what is claimed to be a clay pigeon flying through the air has all the potential of being the subject of ridicule...The Obama with the gun photo could become his version of the Dukakis in the tank video.

I suggest going on a hunting trip and, in the spirit of bipartisanship, doing it with Sarah Palin. Think of the conversations that can be had while shooting caribou and moose out in the Alaska wilderness. I suggest quail hunting at the Armstrong Ranch in Texas.

I have to disagree. Dukakis did that before the election and it was one of the things cost him the election. Obama sadly did not send that picture out in Sept or Oct.

All this is funny, but we have to keep in mind.
There is a specific reason that they are trying to push this “we support sporting guns” meme.
It’s because they don’t.
They don’t want you to have ANY firearms, and they know they have to accomplish that goal incrementally.
If that goal were exposed, the incrementalism wouldn’t stand a chance.

Those who ridicule the ‘birthers’ should rethink their position. This photo proves this administration obviously doesn't consider it beneath them to fabricate evidence to support the storyline.
