He's already being treated like the 2016 GOP presidential front-runner, and now there is another reason Republicans are excitedly buzzing about Florida Sen. Marco Rubio: He alone would reverse the party's slide among Hispanic voters.
A new nationwide poll from JZ Analytics found that Rubio would get 48 percent of the Hispanic vote, about twice what Mitt Romney won in 2012. Republican strategist told Secrets that a win among Latino voters that big would assure Rubio the presidency, since he would also likely keep the regular GOP base.
"If he does that good, then he's the next president," said a senior GOP official. "It makes him The Man, I guess," added the official.
The poll, provided to Secrets, did not indicate why Hispanics like Rubio, other than his story growing up in Florida as a child of Cuban parents is well known. He has also joined the bipartisan Senate effort to reform immigration.

No I am admitting that the Courts have not ruled on this issue. They shouldn’t have to but for those that don't care about the Constitution it may be necessary. Until they decide to directly intervene and modify the Constitution through fiat, I will just use common sense.

Always appreciate your posts, but you realize that even if things remain at the status quo, even this dooms Euros and conservatism in America.
From my viewpoint, immigration in America is going in one of two directions:
1. It will pretty much continue to go as it is now, as there will never be consensus to make existing laws more restrictive, or
2. We will get amnesty, and tumble into the breach at ever-increasing speed.
Not an optimistic view, but that’s how I see it...

he can do what McCain and Romney did and PLAY conservative to get through the primary.
In 2008 McCain flipped and said he would veto comprehensive immigration reform, now he flipped back.
I am no Rubio expert but I am skeptical of his immigration ideas.
Who is this golden candidate of pure conservative perfection that you are waiting for?
I hope he/she shows up before you die of old age. It would be a shame if you never get to see the inside of a voting booth again.
RE: Yes they are, but the Founders were careful to describe the difference between Citizen and Natural Born Citizen, something that either escapes you, or you are purposefully being disingenuous.

Could you please cite one of the founders or framers of the constitution (James Madison for instance) and quote for me, where they described a natural born citizen?
I don’t know why you continue to promote Mitt Romney and his leftwing politics, why are you trying to maintain him as a voice, and defend the disaster of his campaign, and pave the way for the next liberal candidate?
Instead of defending the disaster of 2012, you should be asking this question, and seeking to prevent the next Romney.
How did a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual agenda, creator of Romney/Obama care, Massachusetts liberal cult member, who in 20 years of running won a single election, and was rejected for reelection in that office, become the republican candidate?
Unless you actually do want another Romney, and want the GOP to abandon conservatism completely.

Would you consider a President who:
1) Signed a bill to increase taxes.
2) Signed a huge amnesty bill.

Not a chance in hell. Too nice. Most of us will stay home next time around unless we have a true fighter at the top of the ticket.
I’d have to look at his entire record, including his record before he went to Washington, and weigh the pros and cons. I’m not saying I’d back him in 2016, but if he’s the most moderate candidate who runs, we’ll definitely have a more conservative field than we had for 2012, which is good. Let’s face it. He’s going to run. When we find out who else is joining him, we can debate which candidate best represents the conservative movement going forward, electability aside. If Marco starts to run on ‘I’m the only one who’s electable!’, then we’ll have our answer.
First Rubio is not NBC and he knows it. But, the fact that he may be willing to run for president anyway says a lot about him. That, plus his tendency to use money that does not belong to him to buy things for himself, makes him less than trustworthy, no matter what words he happens to ‘speak.’ Compare that with Ronald Reagan who was not a liar or a thief.
It would be difficult for someone whose very act of running for president is anti Constitution. Along with enabling the anti-sovereignty position of amnesty to become codified law, this will alienate conservatives while earning only a few of the “hispanics” his nomination is designed to gain, causing the US to lose its identity to the millions of foreigners, the majority of them socialists, who will stream into this country and keep conservatives from ever returning this country to sanity. Needless to say, this act will do more to water down conservative strength in every election across this entire country than anything the dems have done to date.
About that forty percent, once the democrats start their smear campaign against him, Rubio would be fortunate to get 20 percent of the hispanic vote. Which would do nothing to make up the conservative vote he is losing for his anti-Constitution, anti-sovereignty stance.
Giving up US sovereignty for a promise that has been made before but has never been kept, is not reasonable. Running for president when you know you don’t meet the qualifications shows a supreme disrespect for the law. Not the best qualities in a presidential candidate.
I think that if taxpayers understood that they are getting ripped off by illegal federal taxes, taxes which corrupt Congress cannot justify under the Constitution's Section 8 of Article I, then things might change for the better.
Absolutely. That is precisely the point I am making. Legal immigration is the real problem and the status quo guarantees that the Dems will be the permanent majority party if they are not already. The 2012 election indicates to me that we have already reached the tipping point.

Oh stop it. Hussein has now been sworn in twice. Federal courts, state courts, administrative courts, etc, have been ruling against or throwing out your crackpot arguments for years upon years now. The courts have heard your theories about what an natural born citizen is, and they soundly reject your arguments.
Mark Levin is a constitutional scholar and one of the sharpest conservatives around - he thinks your birther arguments are nonsense. In fact, if you try to spew that birther crap on his show he will toss you off after a hearty "get off the phone you big dope".
Almost no serious conservative legal foundation or conservative law center wants anything to do with goofy birther theories. That's with your stuck with loons like Orly Taitz (aka the birther queen) and legal pest Larry Klayman to keep churning out bogus lawsuits. The courts have heard your arguments and have ruled they are bunk.
I see it differently. People will always vote for the better of the candidates. That’s a given. That didn’t get us RINOs. RINO voters and lack of conservatives uniting around candidates got us RINO politicians. It always has.
Given demographic trends, continued indoctrination by the MSM and NEA and voter fraud by dems I am not sure we will ever see a Republican President again much less a conservative. So in hindsight George W. Bush looks pretty good compared to a marxist like Obama. Bush had nothing to do with 2012. Gingrich & Santorum split the vote and helped Romney get in. Conservatives (us) collectively themselves are to blame for 2012. Until we can run better conservative candidates (1) and then unite (2) we will get RINOs.
In any event I understand where you are coming from. I really do. But our problem is more complex than just not voting for RINOs and staying home in protest (which helped Obama get in). we really have to get some strong candidates that will pull us together. even then I am not sure it would be enough. I HEAR you. You hate Romney more than you dislike Obama. I did not agree, and I did everything I legally could do to remove Obama from office. Stop pretending you are somehow better or more honorable or more conservative because you sat home and complained. We are not going to agree on this. Thats ok. But continuing to complain to me isn’t going to make your perfect pure conservative candidate magically appear to save you.
I’m not complaining, you are, I’m trying to recover from the debacle of Mitt Romney and to keep his politics from devouring the GOP and destroying it, you are still supporting his politics and complaining and raising Cain when they and he are criticized.
We don’t even know who the 2016 candidates will be, and already some of you are fighting to promote liberalism and to marginalize conservative influence on the choices.
Four years out, and you are already fighting to create a permanent shift to Romney like candidates.
The courts have avoided the issue, like you are. Just shouting a claiming victory does not change facts, but it allows you to ignore them.
