The 49ers only lost by a few points, but these advertisers lost big, ticking off viewers with sexist or unfunny commercials. Watch the worst commercials of this years Super Bowl below. Disagree with our choices?Let us know in the comments.
Go Daddy: This commercial objectifies women and makes fun of unattractive people...
Go Daddy: First impression: Can it be?A Go Daddy ad without bikini-clad babes?...
Doritos: A little girl wants her dad to play with her, but he is about to go hang out with the guys...
Volkswagen: This commercial, released early, has been controversial all week. An average white guys Volkswagen makes him happy so happy that he speaks with a Jamaican accent....
Gildan: After a crazy one-night stand involving fuzzy handcuffs, a dude tries to escape without waking the woman he hooked up with ... except shes wearing his favorite t-shirt, and he needs to find a way to get it off of her...
Bonus: Century 21: Though a few of them aired before the actual game, every single one of the ads that Century 21 prepared for the Super Bowl comes across tone deaf at best, and mean at worst.

i like the “seniors getting their groove on” Taco Bell ad...
I don’t really enjoy ads featuring people who sing about killing American troops
the Dodge truck/farmer ad was soooo not Super Bowl... not a good one...
What about the LONG ad with the two guys sitting in chairs, facing each other? One guy was spewing about raising taxes again, smirking and smarmy and the other guy had brown stuff on his nose...
That was a commercial, right?
Sold my ‘06 2500HD Duramax Diesel 4x4 LT loaded with everything that I bought when you could get the employee discount for $12k less than I paid for it 5 years later with 60k mis. on it.
Bought a like new ‘96 F-150 XLT 4x4 with factory off-road package and love it. Only Fords from here on.
BTW, my first 3 cars were Fords....’’51 Crestliner, ‘66 Mustang coupe, new ‘68 “Bullitt” fastback with 302 4bbl.
The worse one on Oprah and Jeep. She does not believe a word she said.
Thankfully I missed that....I cannot stand the sound of the assclown’s voice.
Really? Never heard that.
Stupid feminist whore working for the Wash Post analyzes the commercials through eyes that see everything based on racism and sexism.
That was the best ad Ive ever seen.
I recorded the show. Then started watching it about 2 hours into it. Fast forwarded through the commercials. Watched a few and thought they were junk. Saw the farmer/Paul Harvey one and rewound it to see and listen to it. Very good job Dodge. Didn’t even slow down for halftime, then the power outage and I was caught up. Paused it for a while and finished up. Pretty good game. Do these teams even practice defense any more?
The Godaddy kissing ad was absolutely horrible. However, it’s accomplished its purpose — we’re all talking about it. Which is the point of advertising.
For me, the best far and away was the Dodge ad — the still photography was marvelous and the incomparable Paul Harvey made it a wonderful piece of television.
Another odd thing about the Go Daddy commercial. They pay Danica Patrick million$, and yet, for all anyone cared, in that spot they could have replaced her with a talking potted plant..
The Paul Harvey “Farmer” ad was the best...very powerful.
That commercial was a channel-changer for me. Wouldn’t have mattered who was in it.
I think you missed the subtext; Oprah was suggesting that America will be whole again because Zero is bringing the troops home.
Major hurl alert.
BFL
Yep, missed that - was completely ignoring the voiceover.
It was very subtle, but given it was piggy Oprah speaking for Government motors (Chrysler division), there was little doubt about the propaganda aspect.
