On Fox News Sunday, following the segment featuring Mark Kelly, Chris Wallace interviewed National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre about various issues surrounding gun control ranging from background checks to mental health concerns to armed security at schools. Pressing LaPierre on his arguments, Wallace challenged him on some of his opposition to gun control.
Wallace began with background checks, citing the 1.7 million people whove been denied because of the checks but LaPierre argued that most of those people werent prosecuted, and we cant say they were stopped from getting a gun at all.
He further argued against calling them universal. Its a fraud to call it universal, LaPierre said, because criminals wont comply. Thus its more apt to call it a universal check into a universal registry of law-abiding people. And it will only create a bureaucratic nightmare.

WHAT?!?! Wallace is ONE OF THEM. OMG I hate these people (see my tag line).
I Thought La Pierre rocked, and kicked a$$.
The lliberal weenies had to rely on Wallace to argue, and Wallace could not.
It was painfully apparent that Wallace was an advocate and not a journalist.
LaPierre made a mistake in not bringing up what percentage the 1.7 million who were denied in a background check was.
1. First off I don’t trust LaPierre. I’m afraid his support of various parts of gun laws may lead to exactly what gun rights people fear.
2. In the segment before LaPierre, I thought Wallace was going to embarrass everybody with an on-camera ‘tingle up his leg’. Bernard Goldberg’s “Slobbering Love Affair” seems to have been written with ‘Chrissy Wallace’ in mind.
Is there something going on here? Chrissy Mathews = Chrissy Wallace?????
It was interesting that Wallace, on the morning after, brought up the murder, which I am beginning to believe was an assassination, of Chris Kyle. A not so subtle message?
It’s time somebody brings up the need of the people for military grade weapons to defend ourselves from all of the 5th columnists and terrorists that the Feds have let into the country. Not to mention groups like the Zetas, Ms13, Chicago’s finest, and other criminal enterprises.
I don’t believe even many of you hard core preppers out there really have come to grips with how fast things are spiraling down the drain.
he is such a dweeb.... why does Fox News give him so many creds? Just because he is Mike Wallace’s kid? Old Mike was another totally in-the-tank Lib schnozzler . Offensive , self-righteous , cynical , and often sardonically rude .
The fruit falls not far from the tree
There is an armed guard at each of our banks here in little ol’ Gilroy,CA, population 50,000....
Doesn’t sound to me like Wallace skewered LaPierre at all.
How is universal checks going to stop a gang banger simply getting one of their drug buyers to go in to a gun outlet and buy a gun for them?
Chris Wallace’s show, “Fox News Sunday” airs on the Fox broadcast network, not FNC. You can watch it even if you don’t have cable.
Mediaite is full-on, howling, moonbat craziness squared.
Doesn’t surprise me at all the way they presented the interview, to make LaPierre seem even crazier than the crazies at Fox.
Mediaite is a reminder of just how unstable a sizeable swath of the populace really is.
Wallace is a gasbag hack. Who cares?
Wallace is just another red diaper doper baby. Commie scum.
“Wallace noted that all schoolchildren dont face the same threats as the presidents children.”
Am I the only one who thinks there are a substantial number of schoolchildren who face more threats than the president’s children? Wallace must be totally out of touch if he thinks children today are safe from violence.
Was that before, or after, he said that he sent his kids to the same school that Obama's kids go to?
LaPierre's right on this... these so-called gun control laws do little other than identify law abiding citizens... and intimidate them.
Here is the relevant part from the mediaite article:
You really think that the presidents children are the same kind of target as every school child in America? Wallace said. Thats ridiculous and you know it, sir.
When reporters start defending the actions of the elite, you know they could care less about us pions.
