The idiots in the administration don’t give Americans much credit for intelligence (refer to pathetic birth certificate photoshopping); IMHO, they figure everyone will just watch the game today and forget all about this.

1) SEALs and SOCOM operators in general have a very dangerous job set.
2) SEALs have been in the national consciousness a lot lately due to their increased media coverage (see "Medal of Honor" games, the OBL raid, the "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Act of Valor" films, the Benghazi duo, etc.) so it tends to make headlines more often than usual when a SEAL is involved in...anything, really.
3) What "'goods' on Barry" are you referring to?
Sometimes it works both ways: Caligula got it in a special "reserved pooh-bahs' only" passageway in the Circus. His prefect of the Pretorian Guards, Cassius Chaerea, made sure he didn't come out the other end. The games may still have been going on, down on the sand, but it was Game Over for one of history's greatest clusterf***s.
