1) SEALs and SOCOM operators in general have a very dangerous job set.

2) SEALs have been in the national consciousness a lot lately due to their increased media coverage (see "Medal of Honor" games, the OBL raid, the "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Act of Valor" films, the Benghazi duo, etc.) so it tends to make headlines more often than usual when a SEAL is involved in...anything, really.

3) What "'goods' on Barry" are you referring to?

These are people who by the nature of their profession and skills, are most likely to be in harm’s way and thus have a higher causality rate in circumstances like this.
