The schools could pay for additional training for the teachers and they could insist that, in the future, in order to get a teachers' credential, they must take a course in firearm safety and pass any test necessary to get a concealed weapon permit.
I disagree. Let the ones that want to be armed and can pass the gun requirements come to school armed. I don't want any teacher not comfortable with a gun to be handling them. There are plenty of teachers that are begging to take the safety courses and carry a gun.

Over in Newtown (about 10 miles from me), I doubt you’d find very many individuals who fit the above qualifications. Probably none at all in the elementary schools.
Pretty much the same wherever you look, at least in the northeast...
