Humans are mammals, and have the same characteristics as all mammals, and all mammals are animals. That is simply a quite apparent and inescapable fact, whether you like it or not. Just because you happen to be a little bit smarter, due to a bit more complexity, doesn't mean you are necessarily of any more value than a good dog. The world is the way that it is. Why do you hide from it?
