The chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary School will sing "America the Beautiful" before Sunday's Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
The chorus features 26 children from Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., where 20 first-graders and six adults were killed in a Dec. 14 shooting rampage.

I have NEVER EVER EVER seen a better photo post on FR. EVER!
“I’m no expert, but shouldn’t these kids be in grief counseling and not on stage performing for millions of strangers?”
Maybe because they know it’s all a con and a hoax.
I’ll have to pass on it. I won’t be watching the stupor bowl.
If the White House were choreographing this they would be wearing the bloody shirts of the victims.
Tragedy Leads To Celebrity.
By parading these kids around, it appears to feed the indulgent emotionalism so many Liberals crave to be fed. And at what price to these children's long term emotional health?
Here's one example of a comment made on the news comment site:
“Awesome! I can feel the tears forming already. So happy for the children!”
So ‘happy’ for the children? That person is completely out of touch!
Not going to be a problem for me. It’s been decades since I watched a Super Bowl half time show.
What about the 41 homicides in Chicago this past month.....is this about making a nation grieve about private lives that they know nothing about? Trotting out James Brady’s to further politicize the anti-gun lobby is rather disingenuous. I reject the salivating MSM, talking heads, and other politicians. This is not “honoring those murdered” this is sensationalizing tragedy to further the destruction of the Second Amendment. I am afraid this will only encourage the copy-kat hungry for attention nuts.
Yep. The Progs exploit everything.
That’s freaking me out.
Will they be lip syncing?
IF a proven performer can do it so as not to ‘embarrass’ herself, shouldn’t the children be given the same opportunity.
What will it do to their fragile hearts and minds if they should happen to ‘mess up’ and someone DARE laugh at them or give them a ‘pan’ for a review.
AND I AM NOT PICKING ON THE KIDS....here, I feel very comfortable using the term ‘innocent’ children, because IMNSHO they are being exploited.
I understand that the 15 yo in Chicago that ‘supposedly’ went to DC (some doubt has been raised) ANYWAY, a petition ‘supposedly’ has been started to get BO to go to the funeral.
He is either going to show up unannounced (with 100 body guards - ‘gang funeral you know’) and 400 TV crews or ignore it BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO...however, that will NOT be his reason for not going....
I haven’t watched a halftime show in years. The sound tends to be bad anyway, diminishing the performance. But what REALLY diminishes it is when MTV runs the show and they pull off stunts like the Janet Jackson - Justin Timberlake bared-boob debacle.
They should let illegal aliens in the gate free and let them take whatever seats they want.
When this *it's a keeper* photo appeared in this morning's Hartford Courant with the article about Gifford's appearance on Capitol Hill my first thought was to Edgar Bergen and his creepy puppet....how apt is that? LOL
I have a hard time believing Gabby Giffords even knows where she is or what she’s doing. She just parrots lines given to her by others.
No.
The naked exploitation of children Sandy Hook for political gains by Obama and his Democrat allies in Congress reminds me of the early parts of Mein Kampf where Hilter writes about the need for "heros" a propaganda tools and manipulating the masses.
I’m not a fan of both these teams but honestly, I bet on the 9ers so I will check on the late 4th quarter.
And yep, no plans for any kind of SB party like before.
