kinda interesting how this story fell off the radar. wonder why?
I suppose when the standoff ends, there will be more to report.
I just noticed on the local news which is near Midland City, that a helicopter just landed and two men dressed in full battle gear got off.
They interviewed a student who rides that bus daily but happened to not be on it today said the driver was a really sweet man. She said he was about as nice a person as you will ever see.
First, the guy has access to TV, and is watching the reporting hour-by-hour (my humble guess).
Second, all the guns he acquired? Probably did a universal background check for each one. This court appearance that he was supposed to show up for? If he was declared guilty....it’d reflect in the next background check and he might not be able to buy weapons anymore (probably unhinging him greatly).
Third, this whole event proves the point that crazy folks need to be put into mental facilities....which the media really doesn’t want to be the chief topic with gun control.
My own personal view...being from Bama...there are 10k characters in the state like this guy...who could go unhinged at any moment, and this was simply something that we were all waiting on to happen.
