The Dems will have this packed with anti-gun supporters. If anyone can make this hearing tomorrow, it would really be great.
The schedule for CSpan isn't posted yet for tomorrow.
NRA VP LaPierre to appear at Senate Judiciary hearing next week
WASHINGTON U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today wrote Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy requesting the Judiciary Committee work with local and federal law enforcement to ensure that at future hearings Senators can request, and law enforcement will provide, various firearms for education, display, and discussion purposes.
In anticipation of tomorrows hearing on gun control, we instructed our staff to work to ensure various unloaded firearms, under law enforcement supervision, could be brought into the hearing, wrote Graham and Cruz, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Our offices worked with various officials in local and federal law enforcement, as well as the Senate Sergeant at Arms, but it appears that the requirements to secure the weapons at the hearing are so impractical as to be unworkable.
Our goal is simple — to educate fellow Senators and members of the public how and why firearms are used by millions of law-abiding Americans for self-defense, hunting, and sporting purposes, said Graham and Cruz. We also want to shatter the mistaken belief that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are a danger to society. It is every bit as important we make that distinction as it is to note that one gun in the hand of mentally-deranged individual is one too many.
Do you know anyone from the DC chapter that could go?
Do you know anyone from the DC chapter that could go?
The wrong question is being asked. We don’t have a “gun violence” problem.
Once again, the left is framing the terms of the debate to their advantage, and the real point is not being addressed.
Stop electing liberals.
Leahy is in charge

This guy and his organ are leftists.

“Gayle Trotter Attorney and Senior Fellow Independent Womens Forum Washington, DC”
Kelly is allied with LaPierre/NRA, and so it appears Gayle Trotter who is also pro 2nd Amendment.
And the last guy.
“Professor David Kopel Adjunct Professor of Advanced Constitutional Law Denver University, Strum College of Law Denver, CO”
Kopel is a Dem, but a self described libertarian who is pro 2nd Amendment:
From Wiki:
“Kopel opposes gun control and is a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association. His articles on gun control and gun violence have been cited in the Opposing Viewpoints Series.[4] In 2003, Kopel wrote in National Review “Simply put, if not for gun control, Hitler would not have been able to murder 21 million people.[5]” He recently contributed an article to the 59th Volume of the Syracuse Law Review entitled “The Natural Right of Self-Defense: Heller’s Lesson for the World.”[6] He is a critic of Michael Moore and provided a list of what he characterized as Moore’s “deceits”.[7][8] He appeared in FahrenHYPE 9/11, a film that disputes the allegations in Fahrenheit”

The wrong question is being asked. We dont have a gun violence problem.
You are right Sir. The only Gun Violence problem is the larger problem in America. No one wants to say it but the Violence problem is isolated to the inner city Gubmint projects and the life long welfare recipients who dwell there. If the numbers from black on black, drug, and gang related murders were tossed out there wouldn’t be enough murders to make a good 30 minute news report. If we had harsher mandatory penalties including the death penalty for murders, rapes, and robberies with a stolen gun the so called problem would be solved. I live near Louisville Ky and every night the local news shows start off with the latest breaking news murder story as soon as they give the address I switch channels 98% are in the West End (aka) the hood.
Kelly is Gabby Gifford's husband.
He ain't on our side.
Since most shooting in urban environments are done by blacks against blacks, ban blacks from owning guns.
LMAO That ought to draw some fire.
Oops. Scanned the info too fast.
Since the entire point of having the populace armed was as a safeguard against Federal over-reach, the first thing you do is not tolerate the Senate holding a hearing about firearms.
It’s none of their business.
Capture and jail for significant time criminals who commit violent crimes with ANY weapon, not resulting in loss of life of permanent incapacity.
Death or life imprisonment at minimum subsistence levels or hard labor for any violent crime resulting in loss of each single life, with any weapon.
A murder victim really is in no position to care whether her death was caused by a rock, a machete, feet inside a boot or an "assault" rifle. She is equally and permanently dead.
