No kidding. What’s the point of being in the BSA if they’re not all real boys? May as well get rid of the “Boy” part and just call it “Scouts”. Man, we are going down the toilet fast.

As an aside, I know a young man who was considering joining the marines. But after the betrayal at Benghazi, Fort Hood, the Rules of Engagement, the openly gay military, and so many other betrayals, he’s decided not to enlist.
I consider myself fortunate to have belonged to the Young Men’s Christian Association’s Indian Guides and later the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Not long ago, the Indian Guides program was discontinued, a victim of—you guessed it—political correctness. Now it’s the BSA’s turn.
Putting boys out in the woods with practicing homosexuals is a recipe for disaster.
I promise that my decades long funding of the Boy Scouts will cease, should this stand.
Well, the scouts motto “Be Prepared” now takes on new meaning; i.e. KY jelly and bending exercises. To wax serious get your boys out. It is sad yet another institution ruined by egalitarianism.
“Step on into the hen house, Mr. Fox. Here, let me hold the door open for you.”
If they do this, they might as well close up shop because they will be out of business in no time.

Good for the Southern Baptists. My son’s troop is sponsored by an SBC Church, so I hope they hold the line on this. I am worried about the entire situation, and our local Council posted a link to the national press release with no comment - I’m afraid that’s bad news.
The other point they don't seem to understand is that the military and Catholic Church offer more and better benefits to their members than the Boy Scouts ever can, making the military and church lesss vulnerable to mass refusals to join than the Scouts. The military offers the honor of patriotic service (at least until the Illegal kills that) and a career and the Church offers eternal salvation, while all the scouts offer are outdoor recreational opportunities. The opportunity for outdoor recreational opportunities will, for most parents, hardly offset the real risk of having their sons buggered.
Standing by a principled decision despite an onslaught of criticism is the best lesson a young man can have-caving in to shrill hysteria is the worst. A teachable moment will be forever lost if the BSA capitulates.
Baptist ping
Many people say that they support gay marriage, but how many parents look down in crib and dream of that child growing up and “marrying” someone of the same sex.
Many people want to appear tolerant and accepting of a homosexual lifestyle, but how many parents want their young boy closely mentored by a homosexual.
Coincidently, it’s not widely reported, but the troops come back from Afghanistan reporting that man/boy sex is the cultural norm over there. But the Afhanis strongly deny that they are homosexual, and some of the Blue on Green violence is due to our troop’s disgust with these practices.

Yes, it certainly is.
But Obama is happy, as is the vast American army of destroyers of all things good, noble, and decent.
The very few Professional Leaders who work for the national association and the local counsels, and the vast majority of volunteer leaders, like myself, who do the work because we believe in the mission of Boy Scouting.
Gay pressure groups have had some success at cutting off funding for the national association, putting the pay of the very few Professionals in jeopardy.
What has happened here is that those very few have sold out the majority of volunteers for fear of losing some of their pay. This won't go down quietly or in any way pretty.
People disagreeing with them on God, girls and gays.
They have people who want God drummed out because they are atheists.
They sorta solved the girl thing by instituting Explorers.
They are now trying to placate one lesbian scout leader.
It seems as though by doing so they will be adding another G.
Good Christians.
Do they really want to go down that path?
It will be yet another milestone in the dark victory of the left against America.
None of our traditions, none of our morals, none of our greatness as a country are safe from this evil grinding down of America.
I can't stand the popcorn that the Boy Scouts sell, but I'll go out of my way and over my budget to donate $5 or $10 to every Boy Scout I see during their fundraisers.
No more.
I have a six year old son. I had planned on enrolling him in scouting this year.
Not now. I won't subject him to that danger.
The BSA is much stronger fighting this onslought on the national level than will be individual troops that still want to instill strength, knowledge, and morality into the boys.
