I am going by what senator Rubio said on Rush today. I have not had time to do any further research.

As for illegals receiving benefits, what I heard from Rubio is that it is against the law now for them to receive benefits! But laws never stopped Obama. Why else would he file a suit against Arizona for executing federal laws? Also, federal laws are separate from local laws. States, counties, cities can make their own rules. The legislation gang of 8 is proposing has no effect on local ordinances.

I have been working on the immigration issue for six years. I have done my research and I sure as hell know more about it than Rubio.

Illegals get benefits either thru their American born children or thru fraud. It is illegal for illegal aliens to work in this country. It is illegal for them to have an SSN. It is illegal for them to be here period. Since when has the law been an impediment for lawbreakers? These "undocumented" workers don't lack for documents.
