Since 1956, there has been in economics, “the theory of second best,” which states basically that everyone/every side has a “best/optimum” solution to any decision, but if forced to “compromise,” adopting the “second best” solution, neither side is satisfied. Instead, the “second best” solution inevitably leads to future conflict, as both sides continually try to attain their “best” solution.

Bottom line: “compromise” satisfies NEITHER side, and is a temporary stopgap measure.

We should change all the memes, all the topics, all the discussion to how to stop the free fall of our money/dollar and deficit spending,govt.out of control, no budget etc. That's the smart play.
I think that WE try to change the topics of discussion but many in the GOP will not, especially those "senior" members. And then when some actually DO have a backbone every once in a while, the media shuns them to the point that the kool-aid drinkers start to shun them and then, instead of listening to us, their supporters, they run for cover. It is maddening!!!

Same sex couples added into immigration bill - what is Rush talking about?

I heard that too....Obama wants this type of legislation tied to an immigration bill. One thing that I would love is for a Constitutional Amendment that makes it so that a bill is for ONE subject only. Want to pass other things? Write and pass another bill!
