Why was his ID required? He should have asked, “Am I being detained?” Why do I need to show ID. Where was the alleged ‘officer’s’ ID, badge number, supervisor’s name etc. BTW?

All you need to demand someone’s ID, if you actually are a law enforcement officer of some kind, is “reasonable suspicion.” Which is basically a gimme. I doubt anyone’s ever been able to prove an officer didn’t meet the burden, even with video evidence. Unless they were a Brown Skinned Human asked to prove their citizenship, in which case the officer can be eviscerated, castrated, and drawn and quartered.
