It has nothing to do with hunting.

It has everything to do with protecting the citizens of the United States from tyranny from its own government.

Take your best shot, Barry.

Molon Labe.

President Barack Obama says gun-control advocates have to do a little more listening than they do sometimes in the debate over firearms in America.

Normal people don't hear the voices in his head that he does.

The Marxist’s continue to ignore the obvious, if gun control laws worked, Washington D.C. New York and Chicago would be the safest cities in our country. Their objective is NOT to make us safer but to make us more defenseless against government terrinary.

Once again the left is attempting to reframe the argument and come up with fantasy definitions. There is no such thing as an “assault weapon” for self defence in civilian parlance. There is no right to bear arms simply for hunting. We need to sop letting the left frame the argument based on false pretext. Skeet is not the intent of the 2nd Amendment.

This is the narrative that the Obama people are pushing - "good" gun owners shoot skeet and hunt for squirrels and the "bad" gun owners own scary assault killing battle rifles. It's divide and conquer as they see it: get the gun owning community to see that the offering up of AR-15s and hundreds of other weapons allows them to keep their cherished .30-30s.

Completely avoided in this discussion is that if the AR-15s are sacrificed, the .30-30s will follow soon after. It's all about disarming the hoi polloi to allow the elites free run. George Soros needs to change America and we need to be nice and compliant to make it happen.

Is it a democracy anymore when citizens can't be trusted with semiautos but the government troops are armed to the teeth?

It is not about hunting. It is about citizen outrage at the mere thought that anyone elected on the oath to protect the constitution would defy the Bill of Rights so blatantly.

People see the presidency as tyrannical already. It is hard to believe the government will restrain itself.....so the people are preparing to protect themselves and resist the tyranny.

""Yes," the president says, "in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time."

This whole article is satire, right????

Gun-control advocates have to listen more

Gun-rights advocates have to listen less! We must not surrender to divide-and-conquer arguments.

We cannot allow the nuanced rhetoric (and it's just rhetoric; the far left hates and fears all privately owned guns) to lead us to drop our guard or assume that any particular step toward a total ban is the final step. Those of us who like punching holes in targets may be the last to lose that right, but they will lose too - look at what happened in England and so many other places. Those of us who like to hunt must not listen to the lullaby from the left that claims to only be going after "bad" guns.

Those of us who see guns as a great equalizer that allows a family with young children to defend itself against a much larger intruder, as one mother recently did, and to defend against tyranny as we did 240 years ago have to speak up. The time to stop any effort to infringe on our fundamental, God-given and constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms is at the first step, not when the extremists come for us personally. The people of Massachusetts, back when they believed in freedom, stopped the Redcoats at the first sign of confiscation. They did not wait to be disarmed and then resist empty-handed.

Hey barry, listen to this:

Why Grandpa carries a gun:

The Quintessential reason why Grandpa carries a gun. Please take time to read this and pay particular attention to “A Little Gun History” about half way down.

Why Carry a Gun?

My old grandpa said to me ‘Son, there comes a time in every
man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps; and usually it’s when he becomes too old to take a whoopin.’ I don’t carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun to scare people; I carry a gun because
sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid; I carry a gun
because there are real threats in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil; I carry a gun because
I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a
gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry; I carry a gun so that
I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry
a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy; I carry a gun
because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a
gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun
because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because
I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect
themselves, because police do not protect you from crime, they just nvestigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to take a whooping’! Author unknown (but obviously brilliant)

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control: From 1929
to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control: From 1915 to 1917,
1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938: From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935: From 1948 to 1952, 20
million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964: From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

—— -—————— -——————

Uganda established gun control in 1970: From 1971 to 1979,
300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956: From 1975 to 1977,
one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

56 million defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

With guns, we are ‘citizens’; without them, we are ‘subjects’.

During WW II, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! Gun owners in the USA are the largest armed forces in the world!

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible
victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES A GUN TO EVERY HOUSEHOLD! SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT ISSUES AND TRAINS EVERY ADULT IN THE USE OF A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

A Swiss citizen added: This is not quite correct, being from Switzerland I know In Switzerland every healthy male has to serve in the Swiss armed forces. He gets issued a machinegun, which after he completes his service he has to take home for safe keeping together with ammunition all issued by the government. At least once/year he has to go to the shooting range to proof his proficiency with his fire arm. If he fails he has to go back till he passes and possibly take some schooling. Officers are issued a pistol and return the machinegun. The crime rate is very low I don’t know if it is the lowest, but would not be surprised. When I grew up we had less than 1 murder/year in my city of 500,000 the largest city in Switzerland.

So, president Obama pretended people who oppose him was all about trivial things like hunting/recreational use.

Great traditions my foot. The guy (loosely used) doesn't have the balls/guts to tell it straight to people who oppose his policies that he's out to neuter us.

"And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake. Part of being able to move this forward is understanding the reality of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas," (Obama) Really - this guy didn't think so Hey - Barry - they weren't deer hunting - they were protecting their families - their businesses (that they built) - and freedoms. The LA Riots - no need for assault weapons in this urban environment uh Barry? Can we impeach Barry so the rest of the US can get on with living???

I also have a “profound respect” for the tradition of hunting. It puts food on the table. I also have fun shooting at targets and varmits with my .223 as a form of recreation. I am a law abiding citizen who handles weapons with the utmost safety. But my weapons are also for personal protection against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I want to have a weapon of equal or higher capability than anyone who would choose to attack me or my family. That Mr. President is why I will NEVER give up my Constitutional freedom to bear arms.

No more gun control laws. Members of Congress who may have bought into the myth that hunters support this administration's attack on our rights need only contact Reed. We are dug in, unified and will not give one inch. Trample our rights at your own peril.

Can you hear me now?

So the founding fathers, who raised an army of volunteers largely self-armed, who overthrow an established government, put the Second Amendment to the US Constitution in place to secure the right to squirrel hunt? This guy is amazingly ignorant of our history. He’s all for arming drug dealers in Mexico and Islamists in Libya and Syria, but when it comes to law-abiding Americans all he sees is bitter people clinging to God and guns. What an arrogant fool he is.
