Thanks very much, but public school went to Hell decades back. It was part of the Communist plan and it's worked out perfectly.
One Link
Jimmy Carter's Dept. of Education would first have to be abolished. Federal money has no business in LOCAL schools, and neither do
national teacher unions.
Local property taxes were raised out of proportion so the Feds could move in with money, to seize control from locals. I can't find the link I really want right now, but it all started late in the Eisenhower Administration when the Demonic-rats gained control of the House and Senate.

“Thanks very much, but public school went to Hell decades back.”
All have their own opinion about schools and I've worked in several and have seen how decisions are made so I stick to it is the population the school serves, that determines the philosophy of the school and it's decisions on policy.
I would not have a problem with my child going to the school system here. I would not send a child to Houston Schools.
However, my post was the path school textbooks take before the final copy is printed for sale to other states. That path is a good one to try to have our textbooks correct. I would rather have them changed by Texas conservatives than California/New York/Mass., etc., liberals.
