Lt. J. Paul Vance, the face of an ongoing Connecticut State Police investigation into worst grade-school shooting in U.S. history, Thursday debunked media and Internet reports that Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza killed his victims with handguns and not the Bushmaster XM-15 E2S rifle that is now the focus of a proposed federal assault-weapons ban.
All 26 of Lanza's victims were shot with the .223-caliber semi-automatic rifle, said Vance, who bristled at claims to the contrary during an interview with Hearst Connecticut Newspapers.
"It's all these conspiracy theorists that are trying to mucky up the waters," said Vance, the longtime state police spokesman. Multiple Second Amendment and gun owner websites have attempted to cast doubts on whether the Bushmaster XM-15, a type of AR-15 rifle that is currently legal, was used in the Dec. 14 carnage done by Lanza.
Some have cited a Dec. 15 "Today" show video clip from the day after the shooting, in which NBC News Justice Department correspondent Pete Williams said that four handguns were recovered inside Sandy Hook Elementary School and that the Bushmaster rifle was found in the trunk of a car owned by Lanza's slain mother, Nancy Lanza.
"There's no doubt that the rifle was used solely to kill 26 people in that school," Vance said.
Twenty children ages 7 and under and six female educators were killed when Lanza forced his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and sprayed the occupants with bullets before turning a gun on himself.
Vance said he made it abundantly clear during his media briefings since the tragedy that Lanza carried out the shooting with the Bushmaster.
"I personally articulated that probably a dozen times in Newtown," Vance said.

The agnostic contrarian truthers are demanding to see things that they know that the state of Connecticut will not release so that when they don’t get them they can claim cover-up, hoax, conspiracy, what are they hiding???
These same people said that because there was no picture of the broken glass window, that the account of the shooting was fabricated. Well the video was found and is here and their tune has still not changed:

There was one article where the Newtown Bee interviewed the dead Principal. They've pulled the article now but there are captured images on the Internet and an apology and retraction at the Newtown Bee:

The original stories I heard were two handguns, then 4 guns, etc.
They used the St. Rose of Lima video of some sort of drill and tried to pass it off as Sandy Hook.
The survivors are not being interviewed. Looks like there is a news blackout from anyone in the building who saw something. We know at least one was shot in the foot.
They also have the records sealed on this case. Supposedly for 90 days and they wonder why so many of us question what happened.

I saw that interview and later in it after he said all were shot with the AR he was asked if he had examined all the bodies and he said no.
Take it up with the Connecticut state police.

then why are you clinging to what you heard from these drivebys on that day as now something reliable???
Like the 20-30 rescued at Benghazi, who disappeared down a rabbit hole, all ‘evidence’ from Newtown will never be made public.

My son was one of the LEO's assigned to cover the scene and I am worried about his present state of mind.
No "assault weapons" ban would have stopped that.
More assured but not 100% convinced
Hopefully his present state of mind will be behind bars for the rest of his life.
The story hasn't changed since the medical examiner released his findings that the victims were all killed with .223 rounds. It's just that nutcase Sandy Hook Truthers refuse to accept this.
Verified that .223 rounds, were taken from the victims, match the rounds taken from the victims matched the “AR-15” barrel and that it was the murder weapon, the city/county coroners/ballistics report is reviewed and verified by the state ME/Ballistics analyst. Trust but Verify!!!
I'm worried about my son the LEO's state of mind. He has 4 children under the age of 7.

I just hope there is not the barrage of “Sandy Hook Deniers are Liars” posts like we have been seeing recently.
Fact is that the media never got the story right in the first place...and the Liberal MSM keeps changing it always.
Surprised so many here on FR bought the Liberal Media spin so easily.
