None of his fellow solons was impolite enough yesterday to ask U.S. Sen. John Forbes Kerry the only question anybody really wants him to answer.

Which he pronounced Gin-ghis Khan.
No senator called him on that slur, either. Here’s another question he should have been asked: “Sen. Kerry, name one foreign policy issue you’ve been right about. Just one.”
Like, say, the nuclear freeze. Or the first Iraq War (against) or the second (he was for it). Do you still think Bashar al-Assad of Syria is a reformer, a fine fellow indeed? And speaking of being a fine judge of character, how’d you happen to pick John Edwards as your running mate in 2004?

Johnson was on course but her “What does it matter” prep by her handlers and saluted as “superior debating skill” by NBC, ABC,BCS,CNN,and almost all of the print media WaPo,NYT etc seemed to me to throw Johnson off. Plus he ran out of time. Paul was on the money. But that’s two out of what 4 dozen plus senators. A good senate leader would have gathered the troops and held a counter press conference instead of fawning over these two phoneys expose them.
More proof that it is all just a big power party. Senators know Kerry is inept, corrupt, unfit for a Cabinet post, etc. yet they will all cast a vote for him to be SOS.
