Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Thursday that whether they are male or female "everyone is entitled to a chance" to become a combat soldier in a military that will now adopt "gender netural" standards. If members of our military can meet the qualifications for a job--and let me be clear, were not talking about reducing the qualifications for a job--if they can meet the qualifications for the job then they should have the right to serve, Panetta said at a Pentagon press conference. The Defense Department announced today that it would rescind its 1994 policy restricting women

This is, as always, allowing women to be included in jobs they don't belong in.....
Chance? I’d hate to be shoulder-to-shoulder with a female soldier who took a ‘chance’..
The list, Ping

Saying “It is a good idea to let faggots and women in the military, especially in combat roles” would have got you thrown in the luny bin 40 years ago.....
By this flawed assumption, everyone who wants to play NFL football is "entitled" to O-offal's famous ubiquitous "fair shot".
These people are SOOoooo living in an alternate universe. I'm reading "Caliphate" right now, and this admin along with the media makes it very believable.

And when it proves to be a disaster, “misogynist conservative” males will get the blame one way or the other.
If some women can actually perform as men without the standards being lowered, and it did not involve a draft of...shall I say, women who understand they are women, I have no problem with this.
If feminists and lesbians can really DO the job of men, go for it. But leave the real women out of it. Lowered standards does not a soldier make.
As for me, this is a deflection story.
I’m assuming every 18-26 year old female will now be required to register for the draft...
He’ll someday rot in hell....along with his puppet master.
Give them all draft numbers,
I agree to some extent ... as long as the women that will be sent into combat can meet ALL the standards, both physical and psychological that are required by the men.
And they should understand that if captured by the enemy they will most probably be raped and subjected to the vilest handling imaginable. Not my perverse thoughts, just the way Allah’s best treat women, especially women that defy them.
Needless to say this bizarre policy is so flawed that even if it is partially implemented grave harm will be done. However what is instructive is that the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who ostensibly advised Panetta to implement this nonsense, have devolved into politically correct careerists rather than the council of supreme warriors who’s sacred duty is to protect the country. Very bad tidings for our country.
***—and let me be clear, were not talking about reducing the qualifications for a job—***
Sure you’re not.
How can it possibly fail? St. Obama the Fly Whisperer blessed it, so it has to be good.
Wondering where he gained his vast combat experience, I checked his bio:
He (Panetta) served as an Army intelligence officer from 1964 to 1966 and received the Army Commendation Medal.
Secretary Panetta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a law degree, both from Santa Clara University.
Also, he served many years in government and in public policy (communist) non-profits as a poverty pimp.

What about pregnancy, menstration? Will women soldiers be put on the pill? Get pregnancy testing prior t being sent into combat?
Doesn’t sound like a “woman” that can carry a 80 pound pack for days on end is going to be a rape victim .....
Too many “ifs”.
I am opposed to this, wholesale, but they need to carry the concept to it’s linear conclusion.
Should we combat train enlisted/commissioned women? Yes.
Should you teach your daughters to fight and shoot? Yes.
Should we entertain women and children and old men as frontline troops? No. Last Resort Only.
