The idea is to propose banning 157, and then “compromise” on only banning some lesser number.

Please note, while it names particular brands/models, the language specifically says "All AR/AK types, including the following:", which means all are banned. Period. Not just these variants.

This thread is probably NOT the place to admit to owning any of the aforementioned firearms, and is for information only. Welcome to 0bama's new Amerika.

I happen to own at least one of every one of those guns.

I am Sparticus.

And how are THEY going to do about the currently owned?

The report I heard yesterday, is that you must register every gun you own if resold. They also want the local LEO to certify your ID, make sure your gun does not make the banned list, get your fingerprints and register your gun(s) serial numbers in their data base.

These are the SAME insane people who are against voter ID during elections.

What officials fear is this info is available on the internet and people can produce the FFL controlled part, go and buy all the parts needed to create a functional lower receiver, and buy a complete upper receiver, slap it on and lock the pins, viola a functional AR-15 bypassing FFL and official scrutiny.

This is new to me, but I found it while searching for AR parts to complete my build. Apparently, you can purchase an 80% complete lower, finish it yourself (must be you doing the work), and it requires no paperwork/ffl. It must be for your personal use, you can't just complete them, and them sell them to your buddies.

Of course, these are pretty much out of stock at this time. Which is where the printer would come in.

It’s kind of funny that the Mini 30 is not on the list, it goes to show this is a list pulled out of thin air.

“Wilkinson Arms Linda Carbine”

Holy smoke, some gungrabber has a long memory! The Linda was produced in the late 1970’s when there were no AR-15s or legal AKs to speak of. It’s nothing but an elongated 9mm pistol with a stock & extended magazine. The manufacturer named it for his daughter IIRC.

M1A not on the list? Hicap mag, muzzle brake/hider, bayonet lug, military caliber, bipod available, delivers world of hurt out to 1,000 yards, what’s not to ban? /s

I agree. None of the gun laws do anything but inconvenience law abiding citizens and sometimes turn honest people into criminals. If the republicans were not such wussies the house would send the Senate a list of laws they have voted to repeal.
