Sandy Hook Panel Set to Begin Review of School Shooting
Newsmax ^ | January 24, 2013 | Melanie Grey

The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission will begin its grim work Thursday with an update on the police investigation into the Newtown, Conn. school massacre and presentations on the Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings.

According to the Hartford Courant, 16 experts, appointed by Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy, will convene for the first of a series of meetings to review the Dec. 14 mass killing last year and propose improvements to current policies related to student safety, gun violence, and mental health.

On Dec. 14, a lone gunman entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown and opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle, killing 20 children and six adults before taking his own life. Only the 2007 school shooting at Virginia Tech, where 32 students and staff members were killed, resulted in a greater loss of life caused by a single shooter.

The panel's first witness will be Danbury Assistant State's Attorney Stephen J. Sedensky, who will give one of the few official statements about the police investigation.

The Courant reported that former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter, who was Denver district attorney at the time of the 1999 Columbine attack and a member of the Columbine Review Commission, will also speak. He will be joined by the University of Virginia's Richard Bonnie, a consultant to the Virginia Tech Review Panel and chairman of the Virginia Commission on Mental Health Law Reform.

The meeting, to be broadcast live on the Connecticut Network, coincides with the introduction of federal gun control legislation in Washington.

Members of the Connecticut delegation, along with congressional leaders, will propose banning assault weapons and ammunition magazines with more than 10 rounds.

"There is a fight coming,'' Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, a Democrat, told the Courant.

Any perp with this mayhem in mind should not be advantaged by knowing that either no one is armed, or who is armed, or how many are armed.

Agree.

Come on.

His story isn’t believable.

First, there is a guy with the bus driver talking sternly and kids are in some kind of circle

Then the guy disappears leaving the bus driver who sometimes is a man and sometimes is a woman.

Then the bus driver just leaves these kids with a stranger and disappears.

Instead of taking them to the firehouse.

Someone went out and measured the distance between the firehouse and his driveway.

Supposedly 12 feet

In the middle of chaos and frightened kids screaming and running for their lives - you just sit them down in a strangers yard instead of the firehouse??????

In one interview he first says teacher then says bus driver.

Those kids should have been taken to a safe and secure location.
The firehouse.
Not put them in a circle in some dude’s lawn.

...there is a lot of really wierd stuff around this, and it deserves discussion. If not here, then where?

The prevailing Sandy Hook narrative -- a telling of the facts on FR (while using Alinksy tactics against those who have questions about that narrative) -- has been defended strenuously for weeks by some FR posters who have stuck every finger and toe available into the porous narrative, seemingly to stanch the flow of new SH information to FReepers.

One FR poster has said he doesn't want FR to be a place for this kind of discussion, for his own reasons. So, no, at present, FR is not the best place for free and civil discussion about Sandy Hook.

His story isn’t believable.

Sure it is. I've heard his story a dozen times and it is pretty much the same every time:

He found kids on his front lawn with the bus driver.

They were from Ms Soto's class. They would have had to step over her dead body to get out of the school so they would more or less know that she was dead.

He invites them and the bus driver in and he calls each of their parents.

Someone went out and measured the distance between the firehouse and his driveway. Supposedly 12 feet

Meaning what???

The decision to meet at the firehouse wasn't made until later and how would he or the kids know about it.

Those kids escaped the school and were on his lawn before people started gathering at the firehouse.

So what if he embellishes it here and there. Give the guy a break --

“What if Homeland Security created the whole town, and staffed it to use as practice ground and to implement gun control.”

From wikipedia:

“Newtown was founded in 1705 and later incorporated in 1711.”

“The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a cabinet department of the United States federal government, created in response to the September 11 attacks”

Once again, the Sandy Hook conspiracy theorists require the government and/or Adam Lanza to own a functional time machine.

“How did you know this?”

I’m guessing he pulled it out of his behind, because he didn’t get those ideas from facts or reality. The town is nearly 300 hundred years old. There really are not a lot of “new” communities in one of the oldest settled areas of North America.

Heck, even the school is not new:

“The building that now houses Hawley School was built from donations to Newtown by Mary Elizabeth Hawley in 1921”

Dead serious. BP oil rig was to big oil what Sandy Hook is to gun ownership.

“to stanch the flow of new SH information to FReepers.”

Bwahahahaha, that’s a good one! The same month old video being reposted every day is “new SH information”?

"Come on, Marty, we've got to go back in time to found a fake town and set up facebook fundraising pages to pave the way for gun control!"

I am one that believes Sandy Hook happened.

I don’t believe the details we are being given.

And then there is stuff like this:

To my eye, these couples look like the same people.
http://www.insanemedia.net/sandy-hook-actors-who-is-jennifer-greenberg-sexton/840

If they are the same people, what would be the purpose - assuming Sandy Hook took place.

“How did you know this?”

I am going by news accounts and helicopter footage.

This was reported as being a newly built (rebuilt?) school, with the latest video security system. The school is in an isolated area. Surrounded by woods.

If the school was there since 1921, surely it would be surrounded now by housing or something, just like the older schools in any normal town or city.

The pictures of the school that have been on the internet sure look like a fairly new building.

Thanks for the response and link.

Would you agree that since this building has been there so long and since it didn’t have even a cafeteria, and used to be a high school and is now a Kindergarten School that it may have been recently rebuilt ?

There really are not a lot of “new” communities in one of the oldest settled areas of North America.

I see your point. However, while it may have existed a long time, there is a constant turnover of 'faces'. In many older neighborhoods, as the owners die off, young couples typically move in.

I admit the Eureka concept is a bit far-fetched.

But... what if all it took was 30 or 40 couples with children who would be a part of a test ?

Would people in our government go that far ? Is doing that possible ?

What are you asking about, the video of the shotgun being pulled from the trunk?

I apologize for not specifying. It was the video in post #25, and I assumed you were responding to it.

Except that Lt Vance says that Lanza was not buzzed in.

Yes, Lt Vance said that Lanza "wasn't let in willingly". He wouldn't say that Lanza shot the window out to get in, but he did admit that the 'swat team' members did break a few windows upon entry.

It seems logical to accept Lanza shot his way in.

But I wonder why Lt. Vance avoided saying Lanza shot out the window.

Possibly because at the time he was not 100% sure. If he wasn’t buzzed in and he didn’t shoot the glass out and get in, then the only other possibility is if as someone was leaving or going in he just grabbed the open door and went in. I’m assuming that they have video but at the time they just may not have examined it and didn’t want to go on the record yet.

Well, it says they built additions and remodeled it, but I don’t see anything saying they tore it down and rebuilt it.

The idea is too ludicrous to even consider. Why would anyone even bother to try to hire actors or plant agents as families and children? You’d accomplish the same goal if you just sent some guy into any school to go on a rampage. In fact, your plan would be much more likely to succeed.

So why would anyone pursue an over-complicated conspiracy that just involves more people who could talk, or make mistakes, and who would have to be paid very well, when you could just do it with one guy?
