And that's a bad thing?
It's a sad commentary on the state of our culture to see any journalist formulate a thought such as the one above. It simply drips with reflexive condescension for one of the primary foundational blocks of our country -- the God-given, inalienable right to keep and bear arms.
The writer speaks of congressional reps who support the Constitution as though they're merely a political voting block, lined up in opposition to fellow lawmakers, who simply support a different angle of attack on some arcane and boring issue that is of little consequence to ordinary Americans.
The writer is obviously so thoroughly indoctrinated into the leftist mindset that he's blind to not only our history and the historical underpinnings of our culture, but also any view which runs counter to the Marxist dogma he's been marinating in, his whole life.
We're not even real to such people.
