In pro-gun-regulation Illinois where politicians would rather play gun control politics than fight the murderous street gangs a young man was admitted to the hospital.
Sam Insley, 16, of Oak Lawn, wasn't admitted with a gun problem.
Sam had a tonsil problem.

"Yes, he's a big kid, but regardless of his age and stature, my husband and I were with him the entire time he was there."
Sam was admitted to Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn on Jan 4. A resident and two medical students began jotting down notes for a routine medical history. At one point, Mrs. Insley said, they asked her to step out of the room.
"I felt uneasy, but I stepped out so my son wouldn't be embarrassed," she told me, saying she figured they would ask drug and alcohol questions. Sam doesn't take drugs or alcohol, she said

Excellent responses.
That said, I told my kids to simply lie to them.
(my kids are teenagers and above, so I dont think I have to worry about sending them the wrong message by telling them to lie.) Besides, they have guns of their own.
I’ll whine until the jerks shut up. Are you shutting up any time soon? And suggest that all doctors listening who are seething at being forced into this “deputizing” at least learn to enjoy turning the big-mouthed jerks into the Feds.
Not only is the lawyer you use to try to take a doctor to court over this probably your typical cowardly bully who goes whining to Mommy when he can’t take what he dishes out, but I don’t know what legal theory you’d use to sue him.
A thread awhile ago had all sorts of retorts to the doc when asked that question. It has been a long time since I hunted - so my kids can say, without lying - “Guns? Oh - we don’t hunt.”
Also implies some ignorance that guns aren’t just for hunting. Although it seems that is what most politicians are concerned about when it comes to the 2nd Amendment. “There is no reason why someone needs an AR-15 for hunting....” Of course that is false as well - but it comes across well to the sheeple.
Anyway, I've read enough of these threads to know what I'll advise some docs I know to do about this. First I'm going to let them in on the lack of any sympathy for being forced to be Obamas "deputies" -- and the docs are furious and upset at these developments in gun control. Instead, the chiseling little lawyers are here hunting for new business.
So why should they feel anynsympathy Inreturn?
I'll advise them to call insecurity to have a little talk with the patients who make stupid threats, including hauling in lawyers.
a doctor willing to ask about guns, not related at all with the illness, is scary - never had it happen before. But, if it ever did, I’d politely ignore their question and ask about their position on euthanasia. A commie doctor would likely be for euthanasia. That is something I would want to know about so I don’t have the wrong doc is case of something serious. I think multiple medical qualification related questions, politely asked, and the gun question would be long forgotten. if not, I have no problem lying to commies or changing docs. agree with previous poster about populating their wonderful databases with bogus info.
Warn your children not to speak to authority figures beyond the scope of your interaction with them, without a lawyer and your parents present.
Answer nothing that could incriminate you or your family or violate your privacy without your parents and/or an attorney present.
Police officers, school counselors, teachers, doctors should not be asking questions about your minor child’s sex life, drugs, guns or anything that is illegal and invasive of your privacy.
If we stay on the road we are traveling, the day is going to come when they and you will be forced to answer self incriminating or nosey questions or be punished in the denial of service or in some other way and then you are going to have to teach them to lie to officials and we will be arriving at life in the Soviet Union.
Unfortunately, it is better to work your children against police state officials than allow state officials to work your children against their friends and family as informants.
Well, my kids never attended public school — they both went to Catholic elementary school and the big guy is in Catholic high school. My younger one is homeschooled now.
I have found that simply keeping them out of the public schools does a great deal to stave off TOO much government indoctrination.
BTW, my boys are both good ones and I am lucky to have them. They will grow to be nice young gentlemen, I think.

Doesn't work anymore...
I followed directions and got to the story of interest, up pops the same pop up, "X"ed it out and the story updated back to where we started.

I'm almost 60 years old and I have NOT killed or injured anyone with MY Firearms in all these years.
According to Libtard logic, I have done the impossible.
