In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.
She didn’t select Rice to appear on the Sunday shows.

If we had REAL Representatives, REAL Hearings, REAL Questioners, it would probably take a few days to do this properly.
All she will have to do is sigh, hold her head, and ‘sniffle’, and the hardest question she will get is “Do you still want to drop the Rodham”?
I not only want to hear from the people that were evacuated and ‘PUT in danger by the former SEAL’s’ but I would sure like to get an explanation where BOTH hillary and the pResident claimed that the Ambassador was ‘lovingly carried to the hospital by caring citizens’.
That story was served up the day ‘after’ or thereabouts, when they were still pushing the ‘horrible Utube video’ theory.
IF you want a hard hitting, exposing hearing, WAIT till the Hollyweird celebs get their day in the well while they are ranting about evil guns...that will take as long as they want, with unlimited RANT TIME - unless, of course, a PRO Gun person slips through and gets the microphone.
We all know how killers are drawn to unarmed people.
It seems like Hillary looks at every .senator and is thinking:
“and I have YOUR file, and YOUR file, and YOUR file...”
The ass kissing of Hillary by ALL of these Senators is repugnant.
I find the animation of her constantly moving her arms like a maniac to be most annoying....and revealing.

Flake agrees with Hillary that Rice was appropriate to speak for the Administration on Benghazi. How stupid is that. Rice had no firsthand information as to what happened. Hillary was in the middle of it. Why should the UN representative speak about an attack on a US diplomatic facility? It is not in her portfolio. Didn’t Hillary claim responsibility for what happened?
Dems control this hearing..The House, this afternoon..will be crucial...and it’s good that they go last..they will know the BS that she throws up..there will be fireworks this afternoon..

It’s another dog and pony show being put on by the Senate. Nothing will be found out and no one will be held accountable including Hillary.
She has had 4+ months to cover her a$$ in the deaths of 4 Americans , she was not there to answer the 3 a.m. phone call and she will not reveal any truthful facts on Benghazi.

Yes, because that is their role. The Marines at embassies are highly HIGHLY trained individuals whose main objective is the protection and (should it be required) swift destruction of classified materials.
