Why we can't give up our guns.
This brings back memories of the Gore recount in Florida where the vote counters tried to do their business behind closed doors and the patriots that put a stop to it.

BUMP!
Excellent video!
YOU are responsible for your part of the armory, as YOU form a part of the militia, addressed in the Second Amendment!
Be sure you know yourself well enough to know whether you’re of sufficient mind and preparedness to fulfill that duty.

Here’s a link to a good narrative of the incident.
http://constitution.org/mil/tn/batathen.htm
We moved to west of Knoxville in 2010, maybe an hour from Athens. In 2011, I saw a video about this — I think it was a clip from the movie. I was excited to discuss the subject at the next quilting group. People whose families had been here since the 1700s had never heard of it. I don’t get it.
Of course, yesterday one of them asked me, in outrage, “Do you know what Obama’s middle name is?!?” She’d heard it at the inauguration. I told her I’d know it since 2007 or 2008. Where the hell have you been? Watching NBC?

Sledgehammer, pry bars and bolt cutters work too. You may not be able to get close enough to use those tools to take out the guards; you'll need something that can "reach out and touch someone".

Without the dynamite they were screwed.
In those days, you could buy dynamite at the hardware store.
We're "safer" now, right?

I remember helping my uncle dig a cistern with dynamite. Fun!
I don’t know if that would be enough today and yes it is hard to get.

Great to see this brought back once more -- it seems to be surging in email forwards again also.
But today, I don't think it will take the police tactical mayhem squads as long to respond as it did then for the National Guard to get out of bed.
Just thinkin' ---

Well they did have to go to the armory, load the guns and drive back.
Maybe the citizen response will be faster in 2013 also?
