If you want someone to lie to you and tell you how troubling it is when anyone's income is cut in Obama's economy, you'll want to stop reading right about now. I'm only willing to go as far as to say that I wish ObamaCare wasn't the cause of all this. But it simply is a beautiful thing to see the very institutions that carry Obama's water and attempt to brainwash more of his minions, deal first-hand with the consequences of their thoughtless advocacy:
A new piece in the Wall Street Journal reports that many colleges are cutting back on the number of hours worked by adjunct professors, in order to avoid new requirements that they provide healthcare to anyone working over 30 hours per week. This is terrible news for a lot of people; 70 percent of professors work as adjuncts and many will now have to cope with a major pay cut just as requirements that they buy their own health insurance go into effect.
No, it's not terrible news.
This is America. These people will get health care through ObamaCare, and no one's going to starve.
Liberals mugged by reality is always welcome news.

Cue the ha-ha kid
I guess only elementary school, and some high school teachers count as important, in Obamaland.
Here in Colorado a lot of money and effort is being spent by CCCS (Colorado Community College System) to dodge Obamacare. I find this endlessly amusing since I doubt there is a person in the chain of command who didn’t vote for the clown. Of course dodging Obamacare amounts to shafting the adjunct instructors who are the bottom of the educational food chain. As usual a government program manages to hurt the people it claims to help. What a shock. Also on the amusing side, most of the adjuncts were also pro-clown voters. Just deserts? Yes.
That is funny.
They won’t exactly get health care, as we think of health care, through Obamacare. They will get a little card saying they are entitled to health care, but what they will really get - long waits, rationing, substandard care by indifferent providers, lots of doctors from foreign countries, and a handful of nighty-night pills when they are deemed to be too old or too sick to be worth saving.
I just wish these jerks weren’t dragging us down to socialist hell with them.
They don’t care. They will find some Republican to blame. They will probably demand the firing of conservative professors in order to offset the cuts.
It IS a beautiful thing to see the useful idiots get their comeuppance...
I have found this trend endlessly amusing. But it will get even better when they start cutting administrative assistants down to 25 hrs a week.
The ponzi schemes of liberalism are teetering and will soon come crashing down.
OOPS!
When liberalism fails,love it.
I feel so bad for these libs. (I will now sit down so I don’t fall over from laughter).
That's where I'd place my money. They will never learn the truth, because they don't want to know the truth. Progressivism is a secular religion, with its own set of dogmas.
Take that for the team comrades..there is more to come where that came from!
Wha-wha-wah.
“B-b-but we serve the common gooood! How can this be happening??”
Own it, eat it, choke on it.
It isn’t too much different that what businesses do during most major recessions:
They dismiss a full-time [40 hour/week] employee and turn around and hire 2 temp employees at 20 hours/week each.
That not only saves them the probable higher wage the full-timer was getting, but it also saves on benefits [holidays, sick days, vacation days, health care, etc.] Additionally, by going through a temp agency, the company can deduct part of the expense to the agency.
I’m grinning from ear to ear!

I think the distinction is that they will get “coverage” but they will not get “healthcare”
