White House adviser David Plouffe said Sunday that he believes President Barack Obama has sufficient votes in Congress to pass gun-control legislation.
Appearing on CNNs State of the Union, which was televised from the National Mall in Washington D.C., Plouffe said he believes the White House has 60 votes in the Senate and 218 in the House from Democrats and Republicans.
He also predicted that immigration reform will make it through Congress.

I’m not going to have to worry about primarying my representative but I will certainly help defeat any RINOs that side with Obama on immigration or gun control. We will gut those effers, turn them inside out, and hang them over the fence for the rest of their RINO buddies to see.
Do they have 200 million yet? Because that’s the number voting against it. And we have the guns. And the rope.
Thanks Olog-hai.
David Pluff: “We have blackmailed enough people to vote for our tyranny to P.O. the electorate so gthat their corrct abnger will be used as an excuse for our hostile takeover.”
He’s projecting. But you can bet your nippy, his campaign apparatchik will go on a road tour making the same claim all over the country on our dime to push the message. And the sheep goes baaaaaaaahhhhhh.
You didn't walk out?
This is exactly why membership in many Church’s is plummeting. They stopped paying attention to the Bible and and started reading the the Democrat Party Bible.
Do the RINOs walk into the Capital building with there arms straight up or with their hands clasped behind their heads?
After the Church I used to attend went far left liberal, I stopped going. When I attended they had probably 3-500 active members and probably 150-200 each week. Now they are lucky to get 100-125. Hasn’t stopped them from begging me for money even though I haven’t attend in 5+ years.
It looks like you and I need to find a new church.........
You’re right, Plouffe is pluffing.
Whenever some lib makes leading statements like “the vast majority of NRA life members support Pres. Obama’s call for a common-sense ban on assault weapons & the jailing of those who own them” you know it’s a lie in search of validation.
Plouffe - that’s French for Goebbels.
"He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."
I would have walked out. It sounds like they're an apostate teaching the doctrine of demons. A lot of churches these days say things that do nothing but tickle the ears and fill up the collection plate. (They're getting their 30 pieces of silver.)
I can’t believe how many Freepers believe Plouffe, because even Plouffe doesn’t believe Plouffe.
I sure hope this Plouffter ends up disappointed.
Though no one will be taking my guns away, I don’t want there to be trouble. Those on this forum that seem so eager to get it on with whatever force will come for our guns perhaps have no idea of how miserable a conflict of any magnitude will be. It will be quite easy for the gov’t to disable the infrastructure that supports life around most of this country. The best prepared preppers and protagonists will have a battle on at least two fronts; against gov’t forces suppressing the remaining bitter clingers and the mobs of unprepared people looking for food and shelter for their families. Not to mention poisoned, or otherwise compromised water and food supplies, infections and potential biological or chemical weapons used against the public. I don’t doubt for a second that the current administration would resort to these in short order.
That wouldn’t be my church anymore, period.
I do believe that is the future of America no matter what action is taken at this time.
This country is in total free fall, it is at terminal velocity, and nothing is going to stop the fall other than the hard, cold ground.
What do you mean, IF the GOP caves.
It is a given. Go along to get along, otherwise the people who write blurbs for newspapers and TV opinion programs will point and laugh at you.
Not that these same people aren’t already pointing and laughing at you. Up to now, it has just been behind your back.
Not third party time. Secede and form a new nation time.
The blueprint is already there. Just separate the country by congressional district/counties between the “red” areas and the “blue” areas, and carve the Reunited States out of the “red” area. We get to keep the existing Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. The little “blue” republics (and there will be a lot of them) get to keep whatevr set of cockamamie rules they want, except the right to emigrate to the “red” region without a very extensive background check.
If they do this, the government may be attacked at its weakest link. The weakest link is the IRS. Without revenue, even despite money printing and borrowing, the credit rating will plummet. It’s just like a huge debtor that has just lost his job with no ability to pay: they are hopeless and beyond deadbeat status.
Perhaps there will be massive tax revolt, but I doubt it. However, if the attempted seizure of guns leads to civil unrest, it’s a new game. What does the IRS have to do with this game changer? IRS employees and families could become targets. Capture a high ranking IRS IT guy and hack the whole system.
The Federal government simply cannot operate w/o the IRS and revenue.
I’d go vote for a Third Party, but by next election cycle i’ll probably be too busy returning fire...
There is a problem with that though.
If we make no changes, the same thing will occur in the Reunited Sates.
Allowing the enemies of freedom the freedom to spread their poison and further teach that poison to our children in a systematic institutionalized manner is the doom of any free society.
If a society is to remain free, it must snuff out the termites as soon as they are discovered, no questions asked. It must make only free people with each generation that follows. What is being made now are slaves, and they are slaves who wish to be slaves because that is all they have been taught.
Say what you will about the prequels, but the rise of the emporer nailed it.
