Thanks, ColdOne. I also just posted some more comments over at an ABCnews “NOTES” site— under a pseudonym, where I got pretty sarcastic:

“The White House slammed the NRA as “cowardly” after the powerful gun lobby dragged President Obama’s daughters into the raging debate over gun control by placing them in a controversial commercial.”
......

What?! The president has daughters? And the NRA dared to actually allude to family that the President obviously was trying to hide from the public and actually went over the line by mentioning that he has daughters. I mean, Lord knows, the President would never, ever, stand in front of a camera and say things like, “if it had been one of my daughters,” or ““Malia and Sasha, they have friends whose parents are same-sex couples,” or ““When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids,” or ““As a parent, you start recognizing, that’s not how she cries,” or … oh wait, maybe you guys have a character limit.

Anyway, I think it’s reprehensible when anyone uses the President’s daughters as political pawns…

As for my Zoe girl, indeed she was a huge doggie and, as impossible as it would seem, she managed to leave an even bigger hole in my heart. Thanks for asking after her...

After I posted, I thought, “I wonder if ColdOne has any doggies?” So I took a peek at your profile...

You have my sympathies on Tasha. She looks like she was one sweet girl. And, Fred, well he certainly has ‘tude, doesn’t he? Very handsome boy...

We might have to vie over best dog ever title. Unless it was best _behaved_ dog ever, then it would go to Tasha, paws down... ;-)
