I love see Libs squirming when they are caught doing their usual things that are most times are overlooked. I wonder how Olde William Jefferson is doing,on his 13-year corruption sentence?
I wonder he has become some guy’s cell Mate by now.

I pray the same can be said of Obama one day in the not-too-distant future.

Ill be surprised if the vermin ever does ten minutes worth of jail time. The one thing you can always count on is representatives of the Democratic [sic] party look after one another. Or they'll allow the French Quarter strippers into his jail cell.

The morons at DU are saying that Ray Nagin was a Bush Republican who changed parties.
Unbelievable. Even when it's not Bush's fault, it's Bush's fault.

Years ago when I still believed that major media couldn’t ignore real news, I was surprised to watch Nancy Pelosi take over the House with her “Culture of Corruption” campaign against elected Republicans (2006 elections.)
After I saw that no so-called journalist even blinked at her chutzpah, and many sang her chorus, I gave up being surprised by anything that “media” publishes.
The saddest part of this kind of campaign by character assassination severely limits the pool of conservatives willing to go into politics. The end result of this type of voluntary abstention has/will turn our elected officials into replicas of union hierarchies. Ie: no alternative opinions will be allowed.
We will all suffer.
I pray for strong competitors to continue to fight against this tide.

Seriously??
Wow!!! Who could have ever seen this coming?
To: jazusamo
Nagin is the same mayor who illegally confiscated firearms during Hurricane Katrina. He will probably soon be just another convicted felon (like Rod Blagojevich and Mario Biaggi) who does not respect the gun rights of ordinary people.

The picture of the buses I'll never forget. Over 4600 persons could have been taken to safety even just at 66 passenger seating capacity. 4600 elderly, poor with no vehicle, disabled, and nursing home patients. One picture tells a story of gross incompetence all the way up to the states highest level.
One order from Mayor or governor could have had them operational. In an emergency you do what you have to do with the means you have. Almost anyone could have driven the buses. A kid drove a bus out. One hundred miles north would have been a huge difference. 48 hours sitting in a bus would be uncomfortable but survivable. The cost to fuel the buses would have been far less than their replacement cost.

... campaign by character assassination severely limits the pool of conservatives willing to go into politics... As we have seen. But I do think Newt landed some blows on the media in the last campaign, and very much hope others will gird themselves for a much dirtier fight, now that the left has firmly established how low they will go. Conservative opposition research needs to get out ahead of their filth. The problem is funding it, since the left will use any dirty money from any source to do their deeds, while holding Republicans' feet to the fire of financial correctness.
