OK I need to share this story.............Picture it...I am a mom born in the 50’s in a small country midwest town..(thats the background you need to “get this”
Fast forward...I am a single mom after dad died...I have sons......son comes home from school and says “mom, my teacher told me I have to bring a nut cup to school tomorrow”
I say “No problem, son, I used to make nut cups every year for May Day or baby showers...All we need are cupcake papers and some pipe cleaners (at this point my sons eyes are deer in the headlights huge)...Im saying “WHAT!?
my YOUNg son says (as he grasps his alleged “manhood”
NUT cup mom NUT CUP!” At that point, rather than lose face...I called my girlfriend and told her I needed to borrow her husband for about an hour, and a field trip to the local sporting goods store
THEN I cracked up I laughed so hard!!!!!!!!
THAT’s funny!
(((SNORT))))
I remember back in ‘60-’63 midwest Jr HS (grades 6-9), when coach told us (jr league football) to get ‘protective cups’ when gear was issued. We had no idea WTH those were. That evening, at least 15 of us w/ our Dads showed-up at the local sporting goods store, and cleaned ‘em out. Owner had to go to another town’s store to get enough for rest of team.
Ah, the memories...
ROFL!!
I used to work wtih a lady who told a story of when her 2 boys were small, they got into the magic markers and markered themselves EVERYwhere... she heard the suspicious “quiet” that all parents know, and investigated to find them naked and blue ALL OVER. It always cracked me up when she told it.
Your story is even better!! LOL
