THAT’s funny!

(((SNORT))))

I remember back in ‘60-’63 midwest Jr HS (grades 6-9), when coach told us (jr league football) to get ‘protective cups’ when gear was issued. We had no idea WTH those were. That evening, at least 15 of us w/ our Dads showed-up at the local sporting goods store, and cleaned ‘em out. Owner had to go to another town’s store to get enough for rest of team.

Ah, the memories...

FUnny thing is...if the kid had said a “Jock strap with a cup” I would have been OK! I KNEW about jock straps and a cup (brother played hockey, and when I was 10 I was pissed off that during school shopping HE got a jock strap and I didnt (My dad and I had a chat about \that) LOL.......NOW picture a dad of the 50s telling his daughter...”No Darlin, you do not get a cup, but in a few years, you get a double barrel sling shot! Just ask mom about that one!!”
(true story)To this day I think my mother holds a grudge agaoinst me and dad for making her splain that one ;-)
