Announcing anti-gun measures in front of a theatrical backdrop of children, itself a tactic associated with troubling historical precedents, President Barack Obama yesterday proposed specific legislative efforts related to guns for Congress to pass, and also outlined 23 measures he says can be implemented under executive authority.
To set the stage for using children, the White House, along with a complicit anti-gun media, made a point of sharing letters from children, particularly those that resonate with the childish emotions of those who dont know enough about guns to know theyre being manipulated. Case in point is the message from an eight-year-old who begged the president Please dont let people own machine guns or other powerful guns like that.
This of course, falls right in line with a planned strategy articulated by Josh Sugarmann of the Violence Policy Center, who as far back as 1988 articulated the deception by declaring The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons -- anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun -- can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.

Osama the Terrorist replaced by Obama the Terrorist
His analysis is great except for the fact it uses logic. When I think of how this administration applies logic to their various proposals and edicts, I think back to this line from Grace Slick and the Jefferson Airplane:
....When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
and the Red Queen’s “off her her head.”....
FYI Codrea ping on Obama gun speech
....When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead.........
I thought it was “the red queen’s lost her head”
Funny thing — I saw them at Curry Hicks Cage at UMass in 1968, then the renamed “Starship” at Colt Park in the early 1970s: From one band to the other “feed your head” turned into “give some...”
Maybe Grace mellowed over the years.
Naaahhhhh...
