What about doctor-hunter privilege?
Step 1: Force health care providers to ask the question.
Step 2: Force health care providers to deny care if you don’t answer the question.
They can ask all they want. And I can just tell them to baisse my cul.
By the way, the federal government has authorized me to ask you, What type and how many guns do you have in your home?
Well, Doc, God authorized me to tell you it’s none of your damned business and do what you’re being paid to do.
I hope the doc has dental insurance, ‘cuz he’s gonna need it.
Reply:
Aw Doc, I ain’t into huntin, and why would you have a gun if yer not into huntin???????
I am assuming this is talking about psychiatrists or other doctors dealing with the mentally ill and not your friendly neighborhood family doctor giving you a checkup and a flu shot.
Well, I’ve been lying to my doctor about not smoking for the last thirty years, I guess lying about guns isn’t going to do any harm...
Ok, we all know what we would say.
The question is how do you guide your wife and children to respond to invasive questions?
Easy for the Doc to trick the kids!
“Does your Dad hunt?”
It has been asked at our local hospital for at least two years, it’s on the multiple sheets of questions you have to fill out when you go in. Maybe this means they are going to be required to ask it verbally?
My canoe capsized yesterday and everything aboard was lost, including any fireams I might have had. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
And daymn but that water was cold.
No doc, there aren’t any guns in my home. It’s that easy.
“By the way, the federal government has authorized me to ask you, What type and how many guns do you have in your home?

No, doc, the Constitution does not authorize you to ask, and until and unless it forces me to, I’m not answering.
I didn’t answer the last two censuses. What makes anyone think I’ll answer this question?
If any doc asks me anything like this:
1) I will lie to him/her.
2) I will never make another appointment with him/her again.
Don’t give some smart-ass answer, don’t tell him its none of his business, don’t make a big deal about it, just lie. You’ll stay off yet another list that way. No use making it easy for the statists - make the basturds work for it, at least.
"Guns? I don't have any guns in my home doc."
(My wife might have a few, but that's not for me to say)
Now when the doctor asks “What is the primary safety”? then puts goop on it and rams it up my butt I’ll remember.
Simple solution: lie. “Oh, no, Doc. I don’t have any guns. I hate guns. Wouldn’t let ‘em near me. No sirree ...”
He can ask; I don’t have to answer
That’s right. It is against the law for the docs to ask, or has Zero forgotten what he signed into law? This ought to be fun....
