A staggering one out of three Illinoisans today lives in or near poverty the peak of a continued climb over three decades. There seems to be a correlation between state and local government control by Democrats (and RINOs, in some instances) and increased poverty and general decadence in the populations under those governments' jurisdiction.
Illinois and Chicago in particular are just one example. Detroit is even a worse case. California and New York are examples as well.

I realize that "poor" can mean different things in different areas, but we all know the 'poor' in the United States are well off compared to many other countries. I have an older chart showing Comforts of the Poor. I am in South Texas and our poor people are supplied by food banks and free meals for school children, not to mention what they get from the government.

For me at least the state economy seemed to start going south back in 2003 after the rat Blago was elected Governor, and mind you the Governor before him was RINO swine.
