Reminds me, years ago, of my cousin (a beauty) who kept getting locked out of her dorm room because her homely roommate had guys over every night.
When my cousin told my aunt -- who, to put it mildly, was full of piss & vinegar -- the latter stormed over to the campus, called the roommate a "bitch" right in her face, & said, "Don't be mad at my daughter just because she's a virgin & you're not."

You have been woefully misinformed. McCarthy was responsible for the Army-McCarthy hearings. The House Committee on Un-American Activities dealt with Hollywood. McCarthy was a Senator, so he was obviously not in the House of Representatives. I have never read a single quote of McCarthy talking about communists in Hollywood. It’s possible he said something. It’s also likely he didn’t care about communists in Hollywood, he was concerned with ones in the military and the government.

I thinkyour take would be true of Conservative/Libertarian men IF her sentence ended with “respectfully.” Conservative men wouldn’t share her “value system.” Many if not most libertarian men would share her ‘value system.’
