Former House speaker Newt Gingrich talked about gun control this morning on CBS:
Gingrich revealed that he's been urging House Republicans to hold hearings about gun control in Chicago, President Obama's hometown and "the murder capital of the United States."
"Well, I think it's amazing that we're having all this discussion about gun control: The president's hometown, Chicago, is the murder capital of the United States. Over 500 people were killed there last year. Vice President Biden doesn't seem to want to go there. I'm trying to get the House Republicans to hold hearings there. It's illegal to have all the guns that are killing people in Chicago. If gun control works, Chicago ought to be safe," said Gingrich.

Right on Newt! But Bonehead and his Republican members are numb nuts that have no brain or guts.

I keep asking myself what else Obozo is doing while trying to distract us with his assault on the 2A.

If I had my way, Newt Gingrich would be about to take the oath of office for President of the United States.

He seems to have a bit more lucidity and conviction than Romney did plus he’s a critical thinker that is no stranger to conflict and confrontation. He appears to be a lot more intelligent than Boner and Pelosi...

It's interesting how the media, including Fox, has paid virtually no attention to the fact that Chicago is ranked by Handgun Control Inc (Brady) as one of the top 3 most stringent gun controlling cities in the US, and at the same time Chicago's gun murder rate is skyrocketing, with 2012 being a record year over an already bad 2011, and 2013 already starting out at a pace that will be far higher than 2012.
Why is it in this gun control “mecca” of Chicago, that the unarmed citizens are dying at a record pace? And, if your going to tell me that it's because criminals can bring guns in from outside Chicago, explain why Milwaukee and Indianapolis...both allow easier access to guns for law-abiding citizens...and both have a much lower per capita rate of violent crime and gun-murder...?
Guns are easier to get in Milwaukee and Indianapolis than they are for the criminals to get in Chicago. So criminals in Milwaukee and Indianapolis have even “better” access to guns than the thugs in Chicago.
So again, where is the logical argument that would justify Chicago's astronomical gun murder rate? There is only one logical reason for Chicago's murder rate—they have a high population of amoral thugs and an unarmed population of law-abiding, easy victims.
Who says it pays to be a lawful citizen... Over 530 former citizens of Chicago might be alive today if they, or someone who loves them, were empowered with the ability to stand toe-to-toe with the thugs.

Psssh the misspelling. The gist is there and we all get it!
I’d rather misspell than be sent to “the camp”....or die trying not to be sent.

I have a relative who lives there. He is moving this year. He says most of the people who live there are in fear of the gangs. To Texas, he's going. Obama is such a fraud. People in his own city die as he plays his I care BS. People are so foolish and or agenda driven to follow him. He uses his smile to seduce as to portray this picture or to give a feeling to the masses that he is a family guy- and a guy who couldn't deliberately cause trouble/pain for anyone. I wish it was Newt being sworn in. The GOP called here to us today. My spouse unloaded on them of how he thought they did from the primaries to current time. No money given.

only if it was “the Good Newt” - because there is a good newt, and a bad newt, but the good Newt is amazing at times!
