If the vote for Speaker on opening day confirmed anything, it confirmed that simple fact. By having a dozen of his Republican colleagues either vote against him or not vote at all, John Boehner just barely squeaked by in his bid for a second term for Speaker.
The vote against Boehner wasnt a vote against the Speakers actual performance. By all accounts, Boehner has done yeomans work leading the House under what can only be called difficult circumstances.
The vote against Boehner was really a vote against the Republican Party. It was a protest against Republican policies and against the Republican establishment.
Boehner should invite the 12 who voted against him to leave the GOP. They arent Republicans. They shouldnt be allowed to masquerade as Republicans.

I agree Absolute BS...a True Republican would not have knocked TeaPartiers of committee assignments like Bohner did...His days are numbered as speaker. he needs to retire & maybe Obambi will take him to Hawaii when he leaves.'

Thats right, throw the 12 out of the GOP while at the same time embrace Colin Powell. Brilliant!!
YEAH! (Pounds table gently not to injure hand.)
If you think about it, with your head turned at this angle, and with both your eyebrows pointing South, conservatives would have no say at all in Congress were it not for the Palin (Tea Party) influence in 2010.

However they should have had the guts to run for Speaker themselves, but not one did. They sure dont want that job.
So their symbolic voters for Donald Duck or Daffy were meaningless.

———People with those traits, are not REAL conservatives. ——
That begs the question, what is a real conservative? When is a conservative not a real conservative?
Are there tests where a paper strip is wet by saliva or other bodily fluid where if it turns pink (red) one is a conservative and if it turns blue liberal?
