The New York State Senate passed their version of the bill - 43 Yays - 18 Nays.
Looking up the Senate roster, several Republicans voted for the bill - mostly on Long Island and downstate.
The Assembly takes up the bill tomorrow.
Senator Ball gave a good speech explaining his no vote. He said it was turning law abiding citizens into criminals and taking away a person’s right to defend themselves. Only one other person spoke against this bill, but I didn’t get her name.
Fury, I’ve searched and searched and can’t find the “who voted for this” information. Could you please send me a link?
Regards,
