Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will seek to institute some of the nation’s strictest gun-licensing requirements, ban assault weapons and restrict visitor access to schools in one of the most expansive government responses sought to last month’s school shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Perhaps most controversially, O’Malley (D) will ask the General Assembly to force prospective gun owners to provide fingerprints to state police, complete a hands-on weapon-familiarization and gun-safety course, and undergo a background check to be licensed.

And will all new guns sold have to adhere to insane, one in the country manufacturing rules like here in Massachusetts? OKC and Tulsa, OK used to do that for many years. Then it was found it did not solve any crimes so they stopped.
Gun buyers already have to clear a background check.
Where were all these Governors when Fast & Furious came to light?

As a thought exercise, apply the same restrictions to those that want to purchase a book and see how the lib heads just about explode. It is actually quite entertaining to see the mental gymnastics of their cognitive dissonance.
Well, that would definitely include me. IINM, DHS also included US Vets and several other groups in that category.
