So it begins in DE. I have emailed all my legislators, none have given me much to feel good about.

I notice that 5 round magazines for rifles, 10 for handguns and ban of the so called AW. 1000 feet of a school zone, gun show loop hole.

None of which will stop any crime.

Fools!

They need to expand freedom ... Adopt no-permit "Constitutional" concealed carry, and allow peaceable citizens to go about their honest business armed.

They need to encourage teachers and others charged with the care of children to arm themselves for self defence of themselves and the children in their care.

If it saves even one life, it's worth it!

The underlying elephant of this turd is that some means has to be in force in order to determine ‘when’ and for ‘what’ this private sale has taken place.

If you can’t determine when or what for already executed sales prior to his ‘law’, how can they dispute a new sale? In my state, you don’t have to do crap....there’s no minimum information bill of sale requirement.

In truth, this is just a back door foothold for confiscation. To implement this, they will have to register every gun, period. Once they force you to register, confiscation is right around the corner after the next tragic excuse. If you don’t fight these people on this, you’ll fight them in the streets one day, that is IF you still have a weapon.

And this will accomplish precisely ‘what’?!

Or is this more of the same political grandstanding and empty promises that had Jack(off) Markell wasting $20M of State money on Fisker (that has yet to build a car in Delaware)?

Or promising $10M of State money to build pathways, but failing to actually allocate funds (thus relying mainly on Federal funds and a far smaller project list)?

If I were a liberal Democrat in Delaware, I’d be flipping everyone the bird too.

Delaware: A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and State, and for hunting and recreational use. Art. I, § 20 (enacted 1987).

[Self-defense right explicitly protected.]

The governor has violated his oath of office.

Since this is being rushed through as a response to Sandy Hook, I'm sure they'll explain to the citizens of their state EXACTLY how these laws would have prevented the Sandy Hook killings, right?

I mean, if they wouldn't have stopped Lanza, then this would just be naked political opportunism, wouldn't it?

Impossible, as no criminal will do any such thing.

Once they force you to register, confiscation is right around the corner after the next tragic excuse

In the neighborhood I lived when I still lied in Dover, the firearms my husband and I owned were probably among the few legal ones on the street - and there were few unarmed houses on that street.

And what do private sales have to do with the shootings in Newtown? Not a damn thing.

You know what I call these left-wing gun-grabbing idiots like Jackass Markell who are gleefully dancing on the graves of innocents people killed in “gun-free” zones?

Sandy Hookers.

Well, of course! But this ‘national discussion’ isn’t about all those criminals who won’t comply, never did, never will. It’s about honest, law-abiding people, and those other people dumb enough to go and ‘register’ a weapon they have.

As far as I’m concerned, if you had bought or obtained a weapon legally with registration not needed, there is not basis for the government to make you register it with them, or anyone else for that matter. It’s no different than the Nazis making Jews wear that yellow Star of David on their garments.

IOW, ‘registering’ = SoD, ‘registered’ = ‘confiscated’

ALL firearms are legal, because all rules that infringe the Sedcond Amendment are illegal.

However, the press, government, police, and courts act otherwise.

Gun owners have compromised with the socialists since 1934 and it hasn’t made anything better for the citizens.

Background checks stopped Adam Lanza from buying a gun legally. BUT, He got his weapons by murdering his mother and stealing hers.
He violated 3-5 different laws, including capital murder before he even left his driveway.

Magazine ban will do nothing, there are, in the neighborhood of 50 million “full capacity magazines” in private hands. Not to mention that anyone with a bit of ingenuity can fashion one in a few minutes.

Banning all ownership of semi auto rifles and handguns will have no effect on crime or mass murder for any number of reasons.

First and foremost, 20 minutes with a single shot shotgun and 1 box of shells still equals 20 dead people. riflemen during the civil war were expected to fire no less than 2 rounds a minute, many were able to get up to three aimed shots, with a single shot muzzle loader.

The biggest slaughter of school children in the world was done with dynamite. Dillon and Klebold booby trapped Columbine HS with propane canisters (not banned then or now), and used sawed off shotguns and pistols.

The VT shooter had a backpack full of ten round magazines.

Tim McVeigh used a truck, with fuel oil and fertilizer.

4 six shot revolvers, which aren’t even on the radar still gets you 24 dead. World record for 6 shots, reload, 6 more shots, all on target at 15 yards is 2.7 seconds.

Ever single mass murder where a firearm was used, in history, was perpetrated in a gun free zone.
What does that tell you?

My point there is, that where there is a will to create mayhem and murder, the criminal will find a way.

Does that mean I don’t want to see something done to prevent this happening again? No
I want to see criminals who use a gun in a crime receive a mandatory life sentence, no plea bargain, no parole.
I want to see hollywood banned from glorifying violence in almost every movie.
I want to see “first person shooter” games banned.

I want to seal the border so that guns, drugs and crime stop flowing across the border freely.
I want to see people who drive under alcohol or drugs lose their vehicle so that they can’t just hop right back in and drive, no license or insurance, until someone gets killed.
BTW you are 1000 times more likely to die by drunk driver than you are to be shot, 100,000 times more than being shot with a semi auto rifle like the AR 15.

I also want to see the current administration held accountable for it crimes. Psha, yeah right.

Attorney General Beau Biden said the proposed ban on assault-type weapons likely will generate the most intense debate in the legislature, but that he believes it is consistent with the Second Amendment right to bear arms.

No, there's no coordination between father and son, here.

Looks like a clear violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241:

18 U.S.C. § 241 : US Code - Section 241: Conspiracy against rights

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured - They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Fine I will be more specific. My firearms were probably among the few legally obtained. I did not live in none of the better neighborhoods in town.
