Not me. I distrusted Powell from the moment I heard about him (during the first Gulf War when I was in grade school). Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf was the military hero who led us to victory in that war, but the media played up Colin "sanctions will stop Saddam" Powell instead.

When the media started pimping this empty suit for President in 1996 because he was a "reasonable Republican", I KNEW he was bad news. When Bush picked Powell for Secretary of State in 2001, I thought it was a lousy choice and he only got the job because the media salivates over everything Powell says. I didn't trust him any further than I could throw him.

Powell has always been a snake and I knew it LONG before the Obama endorsement.

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear you were that Black Conservative cabbie I met in DC in 1995. He told me to my face not to trust Powell, that he was no good. He was right.

Good call. You were smart for a kid.

But then it was a kid who saw the Emperor’s new clothes for what they were.
