Brewster, N.Y. 1/13/2013 Today Senator Greg Ball (Patterson R, C, I) announced that a burglary has been reported on Davis Ave. in White Plains, New York that evidently ties into The Journal News gun maps. It is reported that the burglar used The Journal News interactive gun map to target a home included on the map. Luckily the gun was locked up and no one was hurt.

but, but ... there's the First Amemdment!
So what ... there's the Second Amendment too but that doesn't stop the press for pushing for "common-sense" gun laws.
but that's not fair
Smell the irony. So let's back off on violating the Second Amendment, hmmmmm?
“Send Lawyers Guns and money...the $&!7 Has hit the fan! HEY!”
I was thinking this was Unintended Consequences, but coming from mentally ill liberals it might have been their intended consequences of gun ownership and publication-premeditated
I’d say the journal should be treated as a conspirator like someone who cases a bank.
Yes. It is Time that smarmy company was held accountable for their liberalism.
I am sure that gun owners and unarmed citizens will be targeted because of the Journal News list. I am not so sure that I would take Greg Balls word for it that is what happened here. Greg is a great self promoter, does it seem a coincidence that one day before he is to introduce some bills a burglary happens and before anyone is caught they know the suspects used the list. I know that it is the same tactics that liberals use, but just be aware. It may help to advance the cause but it may be BS. In the interest of transparency I voted for Ball twice as the lesser of two evils.
Why stop at The Journal? Go scorched earth and take the parent company down also. One less communist/Marxist publisher to deal with.
Agree 100%. We have to use their tactics against them. Sue sue, sue!

In addition to Senator Balls legislation, the Vice President of the Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County, Robert Buckley, said in a letter, publishing these maps online is jeopardizing the safety of residents and is irresponsible.
The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County Inc. is putting The Journal News on notice that we will hold [them] accountable for any incident where any of our over 25,000 members are involved with an incident where a criminal or ex-con presents themselves at the residence of one of our members as a result of their name being made public by [their] newspaper, said Buckley.
The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester will be holding a press conference on January 15, 2013 at the Westchester County Courthouse located at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, White Plains, N.Y. at 1:00 p.m.

Why?
Obviously the courts have an anti 2A agenda and this will never go anywhere....so why persue it?
End anti birther troll sarcasm.
Get it now?
Exactly. The consequences are far more critical than a gun theft due to the map. Very scary that there is little recourse over this. Privacy is made dead.
Occupy newspaper
Sue the bastards bump.
I know. The paper article was more like a THIS IS NOT A GUN FREE ZONE sign.
I know. The paper article was more like a THIS IS NOT A GUN FREE ZONE sign.
