LAS VEGAS A 23-year-old contestant from Brooklyn won the title of Miss America in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Mallory Hagan, who hails from Park Slope, won the beauty pageant after tap dancing to James Brown's "Get Up Off of That Thing" and answering a question about whether armed guards belong in grade schools by saying we should not fight violence with violence.

I wonder if she would express that same viewpoint while awaiting trial for promiscuous behavior after being repeatedly raped by those that thought she was fair game because of her attire.
Miss New York was the least attractive contestant in the entire pageant, in my opinion.
So the secret service is Violence Personified?? Self defense is Evil Violence? If someone is about to shoot your baby, quick, try and teach him about peace and he will “learn” not to shoot your child?
Most of them had horrible talent. Her tap dancing was the best of the the three tap dancers. A cute James brown routine and she didnt look cheesy. Until she said her little “don’t fight violence with violence” thing, I was ok with her winning.
Cracked up at miss Iowa: she said something like “I don’t agree with anything other than recreational use of marijuana.” Ha ha ha ha ha!
Wow, RM. I think you nailed that chick's way of thinking 100%! You are scary good. What a sad vapid thing she is. Good thing she's pretty!
It is a very odd question to ask at a beauty show.
Violence never solved anything.....except liberty from semi-retarded Monarchs, slavery, Jewish genocide, Naziism, Japanese Imperialism, Communism.....
And what’s with the skanky Party Girl expression and walk?
Wasn’t THAT just scripted for effect...
Let me guess...
1. If we could all just get along, lives would be saved,
2. The right to marry should be open to all, and of course..
3. We should strive for harmony and world peace.
Barf.
If a presidential election can be rigged so that Obama can win, how easy is it, do you think, to rig a beauty pageant?
It’s all friggin designed to support the Statist agenda - poor NY with all that bad, bad hurricane Sandy and all. Oh, guns are bad. If violence is so horrofic Ms Brooklyn, then let’s ban all violence in movies and violent video games as well.
Ditto. Nor would Christian Copts in Egypt.
I was pulling for 1st runner up Miss South Carolina. When Mallory was announced, I could see the political fix was in. Mallory no more deserved this than my Irish Setter does.
Miss America has become all about politics rather than the young women themselves.
Makes one want to puke.
Thunder thighs, silicone, and no brain....typical "winner" in a Lib world (probably qualifies for a Nobel Peace Prize as much as the Mulatto Messiah.....and, AlGore....)
Well, then. I fully expect the new Miss America to put her money where her mouth is & refuse all armed security protection throughout her entire reign. She should declare herself a gun free zone.
What a sad day. I grew up watching Miss America back when the women were smart & educated ala Gretchen Carlson. Now, it truly has devolved into a bimbo parade.
All muscle, no brains.
But she is beautiful.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but....too muscular.
All muscle, no brains.
But she is beautiful.
As we used to say when we were kids...”Body by Fischer, Toys by Mattel.”
In Vedic religions such as Jainism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism believe in the concept of absolute non-violence known as “Ahimsha”. Yet ALL of these faiths recognize exceptions to this, such as protecting life, national defense, and law enforcement.
Does she honestly expect a school shooter to stop what they are doing and discuss the situation at hand, and listen to reason? You think you can just say, “Hey, you are really hurting people - would you please stop?”
Park Slope is like the Park Ave of Brooklyn. She might feel different if she was from Brownsville.
Can someone post the pic of the “aliens” guy with a “A woman from Brooklyn won Miss America?...Aliens”
