The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a firearms and tactical training company, who recently said he would “start killing people” if the Obama administration attempted to enact gun control through executive action.
In a statement released on Friday, state officials said they suspended Yeager’s permit based on “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public,” WTVF-TV reports.
The video of Yeager furiously denouncing the Obama administration and threatening violent action over gun control went viral on Thursday.
“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons wrote in a statement. “Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail.”

I hope this doesn’t really affect him too much.
He should have his house emptied, his collection at the bottom of several rivers, and be engaged in a long term camping trip. Our current executive branch, I’m sure, will want to have some words with him. Perhaps a “1 am Q and A session”, ala that anti-muslim movie maker.

Oh, and another thing, while we’re on topic: He made a second video (as I’m sure you folks have seen) where he mentions “I accidentally created an army”. Think about that for a sec. That’s a modern day equivalent of a Saratoga moment.
Hey, Mr. Yeager, the government just took away your handgun permit. I believe it's your move.
That does it. If they are going to take the darn permit back, I just will not get one.
Just move to a state that has open-carry.

Prolly the best option for him is to move out of state, to one more respectful of free speech and the right to bear arms without a license or other government permission.

Alabama has open carry. Just one problem tho. If you carry a pistol in your car then it’s considered concealed and without a permit then ur toast. Unless you want to walk everywhere.
Too bad, you need to move to Virginia, we get to keep a loaded weapon in the console. How do you transport your weapons?
You need a license to drive a car too, it's not that you can't drive without one, it just that you shouldn't. All things are legal until you get caught!

So this is selective enforcement.
The left are the ones who want mass killing because they are unhinged and ready to attack. Like Occupy Wall Street which was ransacking every place they went and clashing with police. That is why one needs a gun. To protect themselves from the loony left. All these mass shootings, terrorist attacks and threats are being made by the leftists.
This guy’s rights were instantly taken away over something he said and without trial.

That’s messed up.
No kidding. There was a push recently to make it ok to carry a handgun in a vehicle. Don’t think it ever went anywhere. Also, Alabama is a “may issue” as opposed to a “shall issue” State. In other words the sheriffs dept does not have to show cause to reject the permit. And currently I’m not on the best of terms with some in the Sheriffs dept.
Another thing. In Alabama, I don’t know if it’s true in other places, if you have had 1 (as in one) drink then your permit is invalid. Not if ur drunk, if you have a drink. As I like to drink sometimes and considering all the other BS involved in carrying a handgun, I’ve chosen not to participate.
I was expecting storm troopers to surround and burn down his store with him inside.
