The ranting and screaming tactic was invented by the Left. They use it effectively. It's obnoxious, but in the hands of a skilled Leftist, it comes across as "passioned".

When a Republican does it, people just see it as violent, out of control, angry and ineffective.

We are weak when we respond this way. I think pundits should know that. I think people like Jones are doing more harm than good.

I would support quiet scorn and ridicule as a better approach. Openly declare that the Left cares about themselves and their own feelings and are not trying to help anyone. Scornfully insult them, sure, -- but there is no reason to shout.

Jones goes on Morgan’s show and made gun owners look like crackpots. Someone like Ben Shapiro goes on and makes Piers Morgan look like an ignorant buffoon.

General response to everyone who replied to my message of standing with Alex Jones:

if you dig deep enough, everyone will have some aspect of their beliefs that you won’t agree with. The point right now is not 9/11, is not Mormonism, and is not conspiracy theory. The point right now is the complete alteration of our country into a socialist nightmare - The end of the american dream.

Lets get that out of the way first, then we can move on to the other debate - Where I will surely back up another person who agrees with my outlook on life.

We are here at Free Republic to maintain our free republic. Lots of you may be anti-semitic, may be racist, or may be conspiracy theorist. That’s not what this site is about, and I stand beside, in front of, and behind of any of you as well.

Our mission is clear, at the moment. Save the republic. Alex Jones may have done nothing but screaming, but he knows how to deal with the Enemy. You keep hitting them, and hitting them with no let-up. Salvo after Salvo because the CNN news-reader is going to only ask you questions phrased in such a way to make you look foolish.

I’m done negotiating with anti-americans. I’m out of breath discussing stats, mathematical probabilities of voting turn-outs, election results, legal orders, crime statistics, and history with these people. They will never convert. Their brains are simply mush.

I don’t have time for the link right now, but I’ve been listening to him(Jones) the last few days. I like his passion for the 2nd Amendment and NWO. I am unfamiliar with the Malkin event so no judgement. I don’t think Beck should mock him like he has done. We need to stick together, the calm approach is wearing thin.

I think Alex Jones is still pissed about Beck and his crew making fun of him for sucking up to Charlie Sheen a couple of years ago. I happened to catch Beck’s show that day and I believe it was the funniest 10 or 15 minutes of radio I have ever heard. They had a lot of fun at Jones’ expense and if Jones heard it I don’t think he would ever forget it.
